So How Do You Even Begin To Calculate So Called Lost Opportunity?

So what readily comes to mind when you hear or read the phrase “lost opportunity?” Is it usually something major or minor? And in any event. Going forward. Have you ever bothered to actually try and put a pencil to this value?
And how or where would you even begin to do so? Okay before you get all or even more panic stricken. Relax. Take a deep breath or two. Try and settle your mind. Refocus and and just a second.
Let -at least- some of your emotional and psychological tensions sort of momentarily slip into the background. Because up until now. You may not have been proactively doing anything remotely similar to some of what you’re about to be exposed to. Right?
And yet your business or service hasn’t totally collapsed as of this moment. Right? Agreed. So by you slowing if nothing else. Incorporating at least some of this mindset.
And the flip side is equally true as well. Huh? Meaning: As you start to slowly but steadily incorporate these market tested methods, strategies and tactics into your current and future (DMO), Daily Method Of Operation(s.)
Over time and with careful tracking.You’ll start to see and experience some bankable results.
So What Are The Cost Of Lost Opportunities? (Both Short And Long Term?)
These are excellent and extremely relevant questions for sure. But let’s start at the begin. If possible. You and I or your major competitors.
For whatever reasons decide on a marketing or promotional choice of action. Correct? And perhaps both the short and long term results.
After you bother to put a pencil to it. They simply don’t justify you investing anymore, or nearly as much time or other extremely valuable resources or asset into it. Correct?
Because had or when you make and monitor and nurture. A few strategic tweaks here and there. You or your major competitors will quickly discover and come to appreciate.
How and why certain marketing or promotional strategies and tactics, you’re currently embracing or consistently implementing. Ultimately result in long term lost opportunities. Say what?
Simply because. Once or as you delegate your time, money and other extremely valuable resources to other A/B split tested approaches.
You may quickly or ultimately discover. One carefully measured approach clearly consistently out performs the other. And depending on how long you or your major competitors have been utilizing the less performing alternative.
Can you really even begin to accurately calculate the so called cost of lost opportunity? exactly.
Are You Totally Sure You’re Not Currently Suffering From Some Form Of Opportunity Lost? (Are You Sure?)
Here’s what I’m getting at. Take a look at the screenshot image below. It’s from one one my recent Linkedin connections. (But I assure you. The overall marketing strategies, concepts and tactics you or your major competitors are about to be exposed to.
And contrast her Linkedin profile to another marketers, Micheal Helmke. Whose also proactively marketing his expert lead generation skills on the platform to.

(Major hint: Notice how, even though may or you should definitely be given credit for having an active Linkedin profile. Notice how her header. Along with literally millions of others who are currently active on the platform.
Notice “what’ the red arrow points out? Her Linkedin header. Which is potentially major piece of online real estate. It’s currently blank. Say what? Exactly.)
So “what” happens when her or your ideal prospect discovers your or your major competitors Linkedin profile? Even though underneath her name.She clearly states her expertise is in “Health and Fitness. And she’s a specialist.
But truth told. Her all too common blank Linkedin header. Is the offline equivalent of a business card. Which is completely blank on both sides. But it only has the entrepreneurs first and last name on it. Say what? exactly.
On the other hand. Contrast her Linkedin header profile. To a lead generation expert named Micheal Helmke. Hopefully you can readily see and appreciate the proven and obvious differences.

Once Or As You Allocate Your Money And Time Resources On Or Into One Particular Marketing Approach! (You Obviously Don’t Have Access To Invest Those Financial Assets Or Resources Elsewhere!)

To their full capacity. There is no doubt. You’re currently being victimized by sort of lost opportunity syndrome. And who knows how much and to what extent. Would you not agree?

So going forward. What are you gonna do about it? And BTW. If you still have your lingering doubts. As to whether consistently carving out time, to invest anywhere from 30-60 minutes per week or more.
Strategically appearing as a guests on incredibly relevant podcasts is truly worth it. Stop and consider the alternatives. Consistently investing in creating problem solving or fresh blog content.
And competing with the top SEO (Search Engine Optimization) experts on the planet. Trying to consistently get your content ranked on Google and the other major search engines 1st or 2nd page.
If this is your primary method of being found online. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to play the e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y- long game. And get ready for your lost opportunity costs to go way up.
