Given the choice. Would you rather, keep spending a proverbial fortune, on outrageously expensive, dismally performing. Traditional advertising or promotional campaigns? Good answer. For the record, me either.
So what’s a potentially profitable alternative, you so skeptically ask? Why it’s none other, than some type of smart marketing strategies or tactics.Huh?
Stop and think about, the previously untapped marketing possibilities. You or your major competitors, can keep investing in dismally performing strategy A. Or you could, and definitely should be or quickly become strategic.
And start A/B split testing potential marketing or promoting strategies.Closely tracking your overall results. If any. And letting your target audiences, reactions if any.
Ultimately guide you or your major competitors in the right direction. Or, you could continue to speculate, and put the future growth of your entrepreneurial jeopardy. Which approach works best for you?
Just Because You’re Consistently Making Sales Doesn’t Automatically Mean You’re Making Money! (Agreed?)
case in point. If (and only if!) You have an established and profitable, back end marketing strategy of some kind.
It may not automatically make sense. Especially long term. For you to purposely try and only initially break even, on the front end of your sales funnel. Or worst yet.
Actually lose money trying to acquire a first time customer. Obviously, if you or you major competitors, are running successful practice of some kind. Like maybe you’re a specialty lawyer. A chiropractor, who clearly makes the bulk of your long term money. On repeat visits.
For months or years. Or you’re a successful nail or hair salon owner. And your ideal customer, has a total lifetime customer value metric, of somewhere between $800- $2,500 dollars. Give or take over the next three to five year period.
And truth told. In the case of the of a marketing/promotional savvy hair or nail salon owner.They have the potential, to successfully monetize their services.
And create multiple streams of income.Which is not to say or suggest. They or you can automatically do so. Without at least first, becoming competent, in the proven fundamentals. No way.

Case in point. Let’s say hair salon owner (A.) strictly earns their income, from selling their hair beauty products or services. They have no formal, on or offline database of any kind.
And obviously, they have no state of the art, WordPress website or blog either.And as near as anyone close to them can tell. They have no plans of getting one anytime soon.
And as a direct, like a staggering 98% of their major local competitors. They only generate their income. When their shop is open and they’re selling their various beauty related products on the back end. Sound all too familiar? I thought so.
On the other hand. Let’s have a closer look at hair or salon owner (B.) They just like salon owner (A.), provide quality services ad sell additional beauty products on the back end as well.
However, here’s what they initially test, on the front end. A local appliance dealer and local retail jeweler,who both pro-actively target salon owner (B.)’s extremely loyal customer base.
And since both extremely marketing savvy retailers, have similar, total lifetime customer value metrics, of anywhere from $400- $6,500.Or X amount of dollars. Give or take over the next five to seven year period.
Your Customers Or Long Term Repeat Clients May Or May Not Have An Even Higher Value To Other Non Directly Competing Vendors!
So here’s “what” those two vendors do, to help salon owner (B.), consistently earn some type of passive income. They both offer salon owner (B.) a flat fee of $75 dollars or X amount of dollars per lead.
And here’s how it works. Every current and future hair or nail stylist, works in salon owner (B.) ‘s shop. They’re all given, two sided, market tested, extremely time sensitive gift certificates from both retailers.
And both gift certificates, encourage the recipients, to enter their popular, monthly or quarterly free drawings. And side (B.) of the gift certificates or brand new, first time discount coupons.
Informs the recipient, to drag a friend with them, to either retailers stores. Whose at least 18. And for doing so, they can save up to 40 or X% off their very first purchase.
And their guest, automatically gets to save X% off their very first purchase as well. As just for joining the retailers opt in email/mobile marketing list.They automatically save X% more. Or they receive an additional bonus gift worth X.
The More Open You Or Your Major Competitors Are To Strategically Implementing Some Previously Untapped Marketing Or Promotional Opportunities! (The More Long Term Passive Income You Can Create!)
And each stylist, in both shops, receives a sort of (lifetime) ID number. And on each retailers site. The recipients enter this ID/ five digit affiliate code number.This way, each retailer, knows specifically, which owner or stylist, generated the lead.
And the stylist are paid $50 or X dollars per lead generated. Including referrals. And the owner(s) of the salons make the most.And over time, salon owner (B.)
They consistently generate some type of passive income. No matter “if” their shops are open or not. See ‘how’ this surface level marketing strategy, can and should potentially work for you or your major competitors? Great. So glad to hear that.
