So When Opportunity Knocks What Or How Do You Answer It?

When’s the last time, you had company coming, and o course, totally unexpectedly, they show up, just a tad earlier than you and possibly your spouse, or long term, live in significant other, were actually expecting them to. Ever been there? Yea, me too.

Here’s where I’m going. When this occasional mishap occurs. What or “how” do you officially react or respond to this particular situation? Do you simply deal with it, as positively as you can? Good for you, if this is your honest response.

Or do you, like unfortunately, a gazillion of your peers prefer to do. Which is, kinda of go into your shell and not totally step up. And be the leader, you’re suppose to be.

So the real $64,000 dollar question is. When opportunity knocks, how do you typically respond? And whatever your typical response is. Over the years. Has that particular mindset, served you well? And “if’ not. When are you going to start being at least 300% more pro-active?

And if not now, “when?” And if not “you”, who?

Are You Sure Opportunity Hasn’t Already Knocked Many Times Before? (And You Just Weren’t  Prepared For It?

How many of you recognize the name Salena Knight, of salenaknight.com fame. Well, if you’re a traditional, on or offline retailer of some kind. It’s very possible, you’re already well aware, of this expert retail strategist. Who also has an incredibly popular podcast.

Her extremely loyal followers, (listeners) constantly tune in, in order to “discover”, her and her guests, cutting edge. Not always traditional marketing/promotional methods, strategies and tactics. In order to systematically scale their businesses. For literally pennies on the dollar.

This being the case. Earlier this year. As I previously revealed in an earlier blog post. I along with about 500 other, potential “guest podcast-ers,” are featured in paid podcasting directory.

Where podcast show producers, like Salena, periodically scroll through. Looking for potential guests to appear on their show. (Checkout the alert notification I recently received from her.)

And the famed podcast series, “Marketing Mistakes And How To Avoid Them. Her people also recently reached out, and extended a much welcomed, ‘guest podcast” opportunity to me as well.

(Please take a look at the scheduled confirmation date. Did you catch the date. For the record, its 7 pm EST on Friday April 24th. Say what? that’s correct. The very next day!)

Now the $64,000 dollar question, definitely begs answering. When opportunity knocks. Are you mentally and emotionally prepared to answer or not? Entrepreneur, it’s either yes or no? There is no middle ground.

And like your scheduled guest, who show up a few hours early. Do you turn them away? Or do you pro-actively step up to your challenge(s)? And remember. There are no planes to board.

No luxury hotels, to try and book. No car rental fees and or potential headaches, to be concerned with.

The podcast show producers. Have already done 90% of the so called heavy lifting. Have they not? Absolutely. Yo and I. Just show up, and let our natural passion and expertise flow.

And their steadily growing audiences. Take care of the rest. Like constantly sharing their preferred episodes, all over social media. And constantly recommending them, to their closest friends, relatives, respected colleagues, employees, co-workers, neighbors and o current and future, fellow association members etc.

If that’s nor win/win. What the heck is? So going forward. Can you now better appreciate, “why?” When opportunity knocks, you simply have to be extremely pro-active when you or your major competitors answer? Say yes! Good answer!
