Why Are You Ignoring The Real Profit Producing Potential Of Discounting?
(Especially If You Don’t Have Too!)
If you’re an independently owned retail appliance center owner. Have you noticed? The vast majority of them at best! Only partially monetize the front end of their sales funnel. All the while. Continuously ignoring the long term. Profit producing potential of discounting various must have appliances.
Because once the allocated inventory runs out. What then?
Your Major Competitors Have Profit Draining Marketing Blinders On!
Consider the following. An extremely marketing savvy, non franchised retailer. Who has been strategically utilizing their monthly or quarterly free drawing strategy.
To steadily build their opt in email list. And now, let’s say. (Strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only.) Let’s say they now have a list of 47,743 subscribers.
Even after 9.3% of their list has unsubscribed for whatever reasons. But having a list of at least partially engaged subscribers. They can ethically bribe their subscribers to drag a friend with them to you and or your major store.
And as long as their at least 18. Those loyal subscribers get first priority. On your annual or semi annual “Scratch & Dent” sale promotions.
In fact. You or your major competitors. Could let your email subscribers know. As long as they remain active on your opt in email list. And drag at least one friend with them to your store. Whose at least 18. Per quarter.
At or near the end of every quarter. They get to purchase any one item of their choice. And buy it for the retailers actual hard cost. Up to $1,500 dollars or X.
That one incredibly simple strategy. Should get social media flooded with chatter, right?
When Are You Going To Start Embracing Previously Untapped Marketing Possibilities!
The extremely marketing savvy retailer. Could also inexpensively test. Offering a sealed envelop. To the first X amount of customers who spend at X for their lawn mower. (Or some other high end appliances. Like refrigerators, generators, washers & dryers and barbecue grills etc.
They get a sealed envelop. Which reads on the outside. In big, bold red letters. “I’ll Bet You Didn’t Expect This Did You?”
You know the locals will rip it open in a matter of nano seconds, right?
Inside will be X number of extremely time sensitive discount coupons. From other local, non directly competing vendors. And the retailers earns between a 10-25% Joint Venture/JV affiliate commission. On any business the other non directly competing vendors do.
These are the types of previously untapped marketing opportunities. And or possibilities.
Just waiting to tapped into. Don’t you agree? Fellow profit seeking entrepreneurs. Are you finally starting to appreciate? The long term profit producing potential of discounting? Using low prices as your proven lead magnet.
But grossing the majority of your long term gross profits. On the bac end of your proven sales process.
