Sadly, most independently owned landscaper providers. Dabble in various types of traditional advertising. Including. Some of the really old school direct marketing basics. Like leaving their flyers in easy to reach mail boxes. For their potential residential customers to discover.
Or running. A not exactly inexpensive. Ad in their weekly, local throwaway guides etc. And of course.
Doing as much personal power networking as they possibly can. And for the most part. They will generate some business. Here and there. And some money periodically coming in.
Beats no money coming in, right? But let’s fast track things. And strategize. On how to grow your landscaping business, okay?
This Is How You Systematically Lower Your First Time Customer Acquisition Costs!
Stop and consider the following. Potentially profitable Joint Venture/JV arrangement. With one or a few of your areas. Top real estate brokers and or agents.
Suppose you and or one of your major competitors. Forms a mutually beneficial strategic alliance. With a a few top real estate brokers or agents.
Who special in selling residential properties. Which start in the $500,000 dollar range and up. And the extremely marketing savvy realtor or agent. Agrees to proactively promote your services.
By placing your sign. Or a sign you have created. Prominently in the front yard of the owner(s) of the house or investment property. And when the realtor or agent. Creates their social media posts.
And their Tik Tok reels etc. And whenever they do their walk through videos. They will be sure and showcase the landscapers sign. (Like the sample one directly below.)
Establish A Few Strategic Partnerships And Grow From There!
Now for just a moment. Put yourself in the shoes of some of the neighbors of the landscapers customer(s.) You just finished taking care of a home owners lawn. In an upscale neighborhood.
Everything is trimmed. And the leaves are all raked up etc. What do you think? At least some of the neighbors are going to do. And you and or your major competitors. Will systematically generate new first time customers.
For literally pennies on the dollar, correct? And a certain percentage of them. Will become long term. Repeat customers, agreed? And just depending on how much you and or your major competitors charge them. On a monthly bases.
For the the 3- 6 month period. You take care of their awn. Throughout the year. If your upscale, repeat client spends $1,500 dollars per month. And you land four of them.
That’s $6,000 dollars gross a month. Minus your cost to service them, correct? ($1,500 x 4 = $6,000 dollars in gross income. Minus what it cost you each month. To service their account. Are you starting to better appreciate? How you grow your landscaping business! For literally pennies on the dollar.
