(And Consistently Make A Ton Of Money Doing So!)
Just depending on your age. And what part of the world you currently live in. At least some of you remember. Outrageously popular, creative financing, real estate investment guru Dave Del Dotto, correct?
Dave was incredibly popular during his peak heydays. And his late night cable TV infomercials. Were constantly seen all over the airwaves. From to mid go late 80’s. Until about the early to mid 90’s.
When the FTC fined his company several hundred thousands of dollars. (Dave wisely paid the the fine. And insisted through his attorney at the time. He’s done nothing illegal and or nothing immoral.)
He promptly stopped promoting his infomercials all over cable TV. That being said. While his company was running. He like a ton of other popular real estate investment gurus of that particular era. Were able to monetize their various assets. Are you curious to discover how?
This Is What Makes Building Your Network More Than Worth It!
While Dave and his support sales staff. Was busy touring the country from end to end. Plus constantly airing his incredibly popular.30 – 90 minute informercials. And constantly appearing on nationally syndicated radio and TV shows.
And having a tons of. Mostly positive articles published about his courses and creative investing real estate investment strategies etc. Unlike a lot of his major competitors and contemporaries.
Dave also steadily grew. An impressive database. To over 10,000 private investors. Nationwide. Who let Dave and his staff know. They had both private capital and established business credit.
To offer to both Dave and his student customers. Who might occasionally need their financial help. Funding some of their deals. Especially in the initial stages of investment career.
One of the straight forward ways. Dave monetized this particular asset. He charged X amount per month. For individuals looking for private investors.
And they databased listed the individual investors preface. If they only wanted to invest in certain states. Or certain parts of the country. And the maximum amount they had available to invest.
As well as, the types of investment properties they would help finance.
Let’s Hear It For Some Strategic Cross Promotions!
Another potential monetizing strategy. Dave may or may not have utilized. Is as he came across larger deals. He cost post them inside his database.
And if some type of syndication transaction was completed by his database. Dave would accept a small one to three percent access to his database fee. And be paid via a separate check. Right at the close.
Or Dave could hold private workshops one a month. Where vendors. Who offered various types of. Real estate investment products and services. They would pay Dave a percentage of any products or services.
And these workshops would be free to an extremely limited group of Dave’s database. But Dave could record each one. And use this as list building assets.
By offering them to the public. Via free drawings. Whenever he was touring the country. In order to keep building his pre- internet database. Clearly Dave and several of his contemporaries did okay, correct?
But this is just a small sample. Of how they monetize their various assets. Any questions?
