So entrepreneur are you an avid sports fan in general and rabid baseball fan in particular? If you  do happen to love baseball, you may or may not have necessarily been a big fan of New York  Yankee legend, (and most definitely), first ballot future hall of fame inductee Derek Jeter!

Or Jeets to his adoring chorus of fans! Mention his name (and more importantly) Derek  Jeters career stats, and his boat load of critics (aka) haters will immediately begin with their  never ending litany of reasons  “why” the guy (with the million dollar smile!)

And the seemingly endless list of bombshell beauties, simply wasn’t all that! 😎

Only don’t say it too loud, and or anywhere near his brigade of adoring female fans, or else you  potentially do so at your own risk! 😎

But any semi objective look at the man’s final career numbers, definitely point to, a trip to Coopers town New York!

First of all, let’s try and have an objective look at Jeters final stats, (if that’s even possible) and put them into their proper perspective. The same way you would attempt to measure the overall effectiveness of a particular ad campaign and or marketing strategy.

And or it’s lack thereof!The guy ended his (over the top career) with an impressive 3,465 total hits!Which makes him a member of baseball’s ultra elite 3,000 career hits club!Not many can say that!(Even his staunches haters have to begrudgingly concede that point!)

Not to also mention the fact, he was the very first Yankee to achieve such an incredibly worthy distinction!

(FYI:Any player that can join a club, (the 3,000 career hits club.) And have home run great hammering Hank Aaron as an alumnus, is in some pretty serious baseball royalty company!) Don’t you agree?

He also played on a total of five world championship teams!And he ended his illustrious run, with a career batting average of .310!

And the guy’s detractors have the nerve to suggest he was somehow overrated! (You gotta love those haters! 😎 )

But it’s his career batting average of .310, I want you to momentarily focus on entrepreneur! So hopefully, you can get some much needed perspective!

 What Can Jeets Career Batting Average Teach Us About Putting Success In The Proper Perspective?

First of all, ladies & gentlemen, even if you’re not a baseball fan in general and or a Derek Jeter fan in particular!Ask anybody that’s ever attempted to play organized baseball on any level!

Be it Jr. high, high school, college, the minor leagues and or the major leagues!If you can consistently average (at least) three hits, out of every ten at bats!And if you can sustain that over eighteen to twenty years, at the major league level!

My friend, you’re probably (A.) A multi millionaire! And (B.) A future “first ballot” hall of famer! Just like Jeets!(Just saying!)

But ladies & gentlemen, here’s the vitally important, far too real subtlety that slips right past far too many aspiring entrepreneurs!

Even with a 300 percent career batting average, do you not recognize, that Derek Jeter was wrong a staggering 70% of the time!Huh?

On average, for every ten at bats, he got it wrong seven out of the ten times he attempted!So even though he was wrong a staggering 70% of the time, the 30% of the time that he was right, still made his overall baseball career a runaway success!
