Large promotional budgets   (In Order To Successfully Get The Word Out!)

Are you an independently owned business owner and or service provider? If you are. Or you know or are related to somebody who is. There are most definitely some major franchised corporate competitors.

In your local marketplace, right? And they have extremely deep corporate backing. Which means. They use some of the most expensive, dismally effective ad campaigns.

But here’s one of the dirty little secrets entrepreneur. (You and I don’t need to have outrageously large promotional budgets.) In order to successfully compete with some of the major brands. In your immediate local area. Wanna know how?

Your Advertising Dollars Have To More Than Just Temporarily Get Your Name In Front Of The General Public!

Case in point. (And let’s be brutally honest here, okay?) If you’re a little fish. And one or several of your major competitors. Are you in your immediate area.

And the type of money. They consistently waste. On outrageously expensive, dismally performing. Traditional advertising campaigns. It does very little. To consistently increase their front end gross profits.

And they’re okay with it. You and I on the other hand. Have to be or quickly become. Far leaner and efficient Otherwise we run the risk of going out of business completely, right?

This being the case. Here are two sample marketing/promotional strategies. Which can and definitely should be inexpensively tested. And eliminate what doesn’t work. And double down on what works.

Entrepreneur It’s Definitely Okay With Becoming Effective At Lead Generation Strategies And Tactics!

Let’s you own a non franchised, mom & pop local bakery. And you have one location for now. And one of your major competitors. Which is a franchise.

Let’s say they do a traditional advertising campaign. When all the dust settles. And the price tag is $20K for the month. And they generate X% in bottom line gross profits.

You on the other hand. Decide to invest $7K for the month. Using a non traditional approach. You hold a free drawing. For local business owners and or service providers.

They either drop their business card in a giant fish bowl. (A completely old school approach. Unless they use opt in email strategies.) Let’s say you run the free drawing for 90 or X number of days.

At the end of the term. You choose your 1st grand prize winner. Every body else. (Meaning all the other entrants. Are automatically 2nd runner ups.

Here’s your first, inexpensively marketing twist. You will allow every runner up business owner/service provider. To give every current and future employees.

Go Ahead And Start Out Promoting Your Big Buck Major Competitors!

They all get laminated, cards. Which are good for the next 24-36 months! (Say what?) The employees get certain discounts. On at least two of your traditionally slowest days. They flash their card. And they automatically save 20-35 or X% off.

Your Xtra Large “Big Gulp” beverages of their choice! (This helps them further get the word out, agreed?) And they automatically X% off any birthday cakes they buy. Which are for their special need kids! A certain age and under.

Think about the long term marketing possibilities for just a moment! Your free drawing attracts a percentage of your local business owners and service providers, correct?

And this gives you and or your major competitors. Direct access to their current and future customers, right? For literally pennies on the dollar!

Then you create some long term, residual customers. On the back end of your promotion. Makes sense, right? Can you now better appreciate? How you can be or become competitive. Even without large promotional budgets.

Laser Focus On Marketing Strategies Which Generate Customers! (Not Promotions That Build Your Companies Image!)
