As you previously discovered in part two of this ongoing series, about how to market your business, just like the ultimate insiders do. The 37 billion dollar cruise ship hospitality business, is the perfect vehicle to plan and masterfully execute a long range exit strategy.
Because that particular industry is positively ripe with long range untapped possibilities. But first, let’s focus in on at least two more incredibly simple ways that the cruise ship and their joint venture partners, can create multiple streams of income.
So they can dramatically increase their long term profits. Remember, the average person or couple that books a seven to fourteen day luxury cruise, they earn north of six figures per year.And they know, socialize (are related to) and frequently do business with people who that amount and more!
And when they’re on the ship, and when the ship docks, they love to spend some of their six figure income! Don’t they?
How To Market Your Business So You Don’t Just Increase Your Sales!
(You Actually Increase Your Profits As Well!)
Picking up (basically) where part two of our little marketing drama left off. As you recall, the ship’s crew went to each cabin that had a female over 18 in it, and they gave the women one $200 dollar diamond studded earring along with a laminated two sided index card.
And they were informed, that just for attending the fashion show on the deck, they would get the other one! Let’s go one (giant marketing step) further, shall we?
The index card will direct them to a special lead capture page ( on the fashion jewelers WordPress blog) where they will be informed via a short five minute (promo) type of video, that right after the fashion show, one lucky female opt in email subscriber, will win a really stunning $2,500 dollar diamond studded necklace.
(Ladies, is that reason enough to join the jewelers list?) Here’s the other thing to keep in mine, with regards to the big picture. because this extremely savvy jeweler (if you noticed), is building an extremely valuable and highly responsive opt in email list!
And once a month (give or take) they will send their email subscribers, who let’s not forget, on average earns just north of six figures per year! The jeweler will offer their overstock to their opt in email subscribers, plus, they will sponsor periodic online live auctions!
Which means their subscribers are bidding on various types of really cool jewelry! And here’s the other thing, the jeweler will do as a result of the fashion shows, that are periodically sponsored on the deck of the cruise ship. (Plus the clothing designers offline fashion show events as well.)
At the end of every fashion show, at least one female email subscriber that is physically present at the fashion show, guess what? She’ll win a $2,500 dollar diamond studded necklace! Can you say positive social media blitz?

type of sales reps! Arrgg…

Plus, if after their presentation, you decide to purchase anything they’re offering today,
both you and your husband get a special VIP discount coupon to some really nice local fairly upscale restaurant and it’s a $150
dollar value!
Of course they’ll constantly keep testing which free incentives not only get them in most the doors, but which free
bonuses help close the sales as well!
But I gotta tell you Leslie,while that particular offer may not personally sway you or your husband!LOL! You can bet
those two reps are gonna get inside some homes and sell goods, products and services!Without a doubt!

They gave every single woman over the age of 18 one diamond studded earring worth $100 and said if they attended the attended the fashion show on the deck, they would get the other one? That’s dang expensive if you ask me just to hopefully drum up some business because I can only imagine how many earrings they would have to give away.
I get that they are now on their list for future purchases etc. but how many of those will really turn into paying customers? I’m thinking that if they are of that income level then they probably are pretty faithful to their own jeweler if you know what I mean. 😉

But don’t forget, that the $200 dollars is merely the retail value of those earrings! But not the jewelers actual
cost! And it’s the accumulative effect of those semi high profile six figure annual income producing ladies constantly walking
around with those earrings, bracelets or necklaces on etc.
That will definitely create some serious free long publicity and positive word of mouth buzz!
And you’re probably more than likely correct,since they earn six figures, they probably already have a local
jeweler.
But here’s the thing; their current jeweler probably hasn’t given them an irresistible offer in a long time, if at all!
They’re on a cruise,and this savvy jeweler is making them an in your face “you can’t say no to offer” right now! Those shining
diamond studding earrings will prove to irresistible for most of those ladies!
And they’ll attend alright! Plus, this lead generation approach is far cheaper than constantly running
local TV, radio and newspaper ads etc!
And it’s far more effective, in terms of generating long term positive word of mouth too! But
