Ever heard the the famous saying by superstar “guerrilla marketing ” ace Jay Conrad Levinson, “Ready, fire aim!”  Well unfortunately, when it comes seriously implementing any type of practical (not to mention) effective long term (proven) social media marketing plan, (sadly) far too many cash strapped and time starved entrepreneurs fall into the aforementioned category.

But all is not lost, because guess what? The really good news is, a staggering 90% of your major competitors, are probably more than likely, in the exact same boat! Only they literally have no clue, “how” to get off  it!

 Three Things You Should Probably Know Before You Get Too Far Gone With Your Social Media Marketing Plan!

Here’s a quick question; have you sent out your customary two point five tweets per day yet? And have you had a chance to post your latest “two for Tuesday’s coupons” on your Facebook fan page yet? “Why” do I ask, you ask?

Well entrepreneur, here’s the thing. Which leads us/you directly into the three things you definitely need to know, before you get too far gone with your current social media marketing plan!

 1.) Little known fact # one: First of all, entrepreneur did you know (or realize) that when it comes to effectively (and consistently) driving online visitors to corporate websites, that FB, twitter and good old LinkeIn account for a staggering 95% of all the traffic generated by all the social media platforms!

Of course Google Plus is clearly aggressively positioning itself to have a say in this, at some point in the not so distant future! However, that said….

2.) Little known fact # two: And good old LinkedIn all by it’s lonesome, accounts for nearly two thirds or 64% of the visitors to corporate websites, with regards to social media platforms! In fact, LinkedIn (according to a recent survey) accounts for more traffic to corporate websites that all the other social media platforms combined! Say what? Nod your heads cadets! It’s true!

And all this time, you thought it was all about Facebook!

3.) Little known fact # three: And speaking of Facebook, also according to this recent survey, just in the last two years alone FB’s share of traffic being driven to corporate websites is down by a whopping 56%, from roughly 30%, down to it’s current 17% level, give or take!

Hey, you draw your own conclusions! But here’s the real point;entrepreneur  before you get too far gone and or too much invested in this particular social media marketing plan or that one!

These stats just may wanna make you stop and do a little reassessment and or re-evaluation. Don’t yo agree? After all, you don’t want to continually go fishing, where the fish are no longer biting! Do you?
