My friend, have you ever heard the incredible story about how two elephants (one full grown adult and the other is still a baby and growing) they’re both tied up,but two completely different methods are used.

First, they take the full grown elephant,  (that’s fully capable of killing a 500 lb lion!) and with no more than a tiny thin string, they place it around the adult elephants neck, and merely tie the other end to a stake in the ground. However, contrast that method to what they do with the younger, far less strong, baby elephant.

They take a thick high industrial metal chain and lock it around the baby elephants neck first, then drive they drive other end into the ground, to secure it!

At first glance, doesn’t this process seem counter intuitive? Doesn’t end seem like it should be the exact opposite?

It does, until you start to consider this next extremely important element to the entire story!

 The Dark Side Of Stories About Positive Attitude!

You see, way back when the adult elephant was just a baby, and not fully mentally or physically developed yet. It’s owners use the exact same method of gradual mental conditioning on them!

That is, they used an extremely strong and durable high industrial chain and locked it around the young (and totally) impressionable, baby elephants neck and drove the other end into the ground.

And of course, in the beginning, the young (mentally untrained) elephant tried over and over again, to break free and move about. But was not able to! And then gradually over the years, even as the baby developed into a fully grown adult elephant, that is capable of killing a fierce 500 lb lion!

They began to (incorrectly) perceive their reality! because now, anytime they felt even a tiny string around their neck, they incorrectly accepted the fact, they they couldn’t break free and move about! How sad is that entrepreneur!

A full grown adult elephant, defeated by a thin piece of string! Of course, right about now, you’re probably wondering (and rightfully so) what the heck (if anything) does that rather graphic and tragic story have to do with your chances for meaningful long term success?

The insight is subtle, yet oh so powerful entrepreneur! And it’s simply this; what false (incredibly flimsy excuse) aka tiny string, currently hopes you back or prevents you (a fully capable) unique individual, from consistently having and experiencing, major breakthroughs!

Because of minor setbacks in your past! Bingo! Because here you are umpteen years later, still being controlled by these flimsy excuses!
