Major marketing mistakes   (Otherwise You Run The Risk Of Being Forced Out Of Business!)

Promoting one of their offers, right? Let’s take a closer look. And see “if” you/we can discover. Some proven marketing fundamentals. And whether or not they’re being applied as strategically as possible! Or not!

And which major marketing mistakes to avoid! Are you for it?

You Can’t Spend More Than What Your Ideal Customer Is Worth! (And Expect To Be Profitable!)

Here’s one of the first major marketing mistakes. You simply have to avoid. If you’re serious about making your ad/promotional dollars profitable!

Notice in the left hand section of the ad. (The text which is white. Written on top of a red background.) It reads, “Hurry, online offer ends soon.

Fellow profit seeking entrepreneurs! That type of long term, profit killing copy! Is simply way too vague and general in nature! (Define soon!) Is that the next 72 hours? Or the next week or the next six months etc.)

The statement creates no practical urgency, does it? And sense it doesn’t. Your potentially hottest prospects.

Don’t feel compelled to do anything. Anytime soon! Meanwhile your extremely hard earned money is gone! And more than likely. It’s not coming back anytime soon.

I noticed as I moved my cursor to move on. The ad/promotion offered no proven/strategic way to capture my opt in  email address. So once I and a gazillion others move on.

For all practical purposes. They (or you!) Have no practical way to send us back to their offer. An entirely new extremely time sensitive offer. Or their newly vamped website etc.

Once You Know Your Numbers! (Your Possibilities For Long Term Success Dramatically Increase!

This is “why” you have to at the very least ladies & gentlemen. Have some realistic idea going in! What the total lifetime customer value metrics are! For your ideal customer and or client.

Otherwise, you simply have no idea whatsoever! What you can really afford to invest! In order to consistently generate your first time customers.

Case in point. This offer says you and I get free use of their service. For the first 3 months. And or the first 90 days. Instead of being charged the current $39.99 per month, or X.

Hopefully, they have a pretty good idea upfront! How long their ideal subscriber remains an active customer. Before they unsubscribe/cancel and move on.

Would it make sense. To offer 3 months free! If their ideal paying customer. Only remained active, on average for just four months! Clearly it would not, right?

But if you don’t know what your ideal customer is potentially worth to you going in. (Especially over time!) “How” can possibly “know” how much to invest. On or offline. In order to create them in the first place!

Sadly, far too many aspiring online newbie marketers. Are constantly making these as well as many other! Major marketing mistakes!
