How To Promote Your Business Locally Without Coming Off To Sales-y! Part Two

Now that you’ve had a chance, to initially read and re-read part one of this particular blog post series.

Can you now better appreciate, how and why, it definitely makes sense, for you to invest, (both) your time, money and other extremely valuable resources, in to learning how to promote your business locally, without coming off as too sales-y?

Let’s hope so. Because as you initially build and nurture these ongoing relationships.

You get a ton of unintended spillover. And the spillover, starts and keeps paying some sort of dividend, for literally years and years to come.

This is where you and I, definitely want to get to as quickly as possible. Don’t you agree?

And by first recognizing, the long term profit producing potential, then consistently A/B split testing and implementing these proven marketing and promotional strategies and tactics.

You’ll initially generate some much needed, front and long term, back end profit centers.For literally pennies on the dollar. Let’s take a much closer look, at a few potential situations or two.And then you decide.Fair enough?

There Really Is No Need For You To Continually Waste A Fortune On Those Outrageously Expensive Traditional Advertising Or Promotional Campaigns!

Unless, you simply have a thing for wasting a ton of your extremely hard earned money, on dismally performing ads or promotional campaigns. Anyway….

Quickly picking up where part one left off. As you recall. You’re one of the most respected, senior marketing directors, for this regional, exotic beverage distributorship.

And with this being the case. You already know and have established, a ton of personal and professional relationships, all over the area, within the last ten years or so, correct? Absolutely.

Which explains, why, your senior management team is totally convinced, the company can and definitely should be able, to increase your gourmet coffee sales figures, by at least 30% over last years impressive numbers.

And when you run into, one of your long term, potential (JV) joint venture partners, at a recent Chamber of Commerce meeting.

And the two of you whined up having a rather long lunch at one of your favorite local spots. You realize, this very successful, commercial real estate broker, whose commercial real estate management company.

Once You Run Your Total Lifetime Customer Value Numbers! (This Next Section Will Hopefully Make A Whole Lot More Sense!)

And purchase it at your initial hard cost. Provided these potential first time customers, are smart enough to do two incredibly simple things.

 1.) First: Drag a friend with them, to your store, whose at least 18. And not a current customer. Before the expiration date on their coupon or gift certificate expires.

 2.) Second: They join your opt in email/mobile marketing list. Because as an added benefit, (ethical bribe) for doing so. They also get the extremely limited time option. To purchase an additional bag of gourmet coffee of their choice. As long as you have it in stock. And they save 50 or X% off the second bag as well.

Your marketing rational being. Your ideal customer, has a total lifetime customer value metric, of somewhere between, $350- $6,500 dollars. Give or take, over the next five to seven year period.

And these type of seductive promotions, will definitely generate, a ton of positive, viral word of mouth and mouse buzz. Both on and off of social media.Don’t you agree? For sure.

The Effective And Strategic Use Of Ethical Bribery Is A Proven Way To Generate A Tsunami Of Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse Buzz!

Getting back to the main point.After this successful lunch meeting, with your long time, commercial real estate broker contact. You allow the broker, to offer, a 20 lb. sample of your great tasting gourmet coffee.

To every tenant, who runs a business in the twenty story building they currently manage. Who’d like to sample it, at your actual cost.Say what? Think about it. Not only will you be exposing, initially the owners of the business, plus their employees/associates and the business owner or service providers vendors, to some of your best tasting, gourmet coffee.

For literally pennies on the dollar.Right? But please don’t forget or ignore the fact. At least some of them, will definitely want to become, long term repeat customers,right? No doubt.

But remember, you also sell, some extremely great tasting, cocoa, exotic lemonades, ice teas, and your more expensive, dinner wines and champagnes. And it’s these additional, long term, repeat back end sales, to both them, and their personal and professional inner circles.

Which over time, will generate a flood of ongoing revenue.Don’t you agree? Hopefully this further demonstrates, how to promote your business locally. Without coming off as too sales-y. Any questions?
