What To Do Even When Effective Conflict Resolution Strategies Still Leave A Really Bad Taste In Your Mouth!

 

Have you ever been involved with ( or had a rather distasteful  personal run in) with either a business and or  individual, that for whatever reasons, after the entire ordeal was finally over, said and done with!

And even after a few awkward and or half  heart ed (post purchase)  attempts at implementing (some so called) proven conflict resolution strategies.

Sadly, the final outcome still left you with a rather bad taste in your mouth! Good, then you know exactly the type of business (and or personal relationship) ending mishap, that I’m referring to here.

(Please don’t quote me here!) But to the best of my knowledge and or recollection. To date, this is either the very first time and or one of the few times (certainly) within the last two or three years anyway, where I shared a rather personal horror story, that involved being in business.

Because for a lot of reasons (none of which) I’ll bore you with here! I simply prefer not to go there! However, on those rare occasions, where I simply feel compelled to pull back the proverbial curtain and share a (true life) post that (to coin an often used phrase from the television movie industry), is based on a “shocking true story!”

However, just like in the spirit of the old “Dragnet” TV series (you younger eyeballs, will of course need to Google the reference!), while you older more mature eyeballs, will immediately recognize and therefore appreciate the reference

. The names of those involved will remain (un mentioned) as opposed to changed, in order to avoid further polluting this already non repairable situation….

So What Exactly Can Or Should You Do When Even After Your Best Attempts At Implementing Successful Conflict Resolution Strategies Still Leave You With A Rather Bad Taste In Your Mouth!

Here’s the short of basically what happened: (And what led to this permanent non mend-able situation.)

Way back when I was even more of a clueless and totally inexperienced Internet  marketing newbie! But like most wide eyed (extremely optimistic beginners) at that particular stage!

I eagerly went online, enthusiastically in search of the proverbial “magic bullet” how to make money online holy grail of courses! And after much continuous and diligent searching!

I finally located, (or uncovered if you prefer) what from all the testimonials and comments in the various forums that I was frequenting at the time.

Was what I was lead to believe was a fairly trustworthy online marketer. That was (at the time!) as near as I could tell anyway, considered to be (not only) be fairly popular and extremely competent as well.

As it related to effectively teaching,  results based Internet marketing strategies. Mind you, this was just about 10 years ago.

So obviously, a lot has changed since then.Anyway, long story short. I gladly invested $297 dollars, for what I was told was a fairly comprehensive CD course, plus X amount of hours of recordings from a recent live offline seminar/workshop on Internet marketing!

Plus, the extremely well written website sales letter also promised, as another additional free “quick decision” bonus, an additional six full months of five email contacts per week!

Where we were not only encouraged, but expected to contact this particular guru, with any and all questions about the course and or bonus materials etc! Provided we didn’t exceed the five separate questions per week rule!

All this, for just a measly one time investment of just $297 dollars! That’s not only what the extremely well written sales letter said! But was in fact later confirmed, by the few follow up emails I received from the guru himself!

Sometimes It’s Still Best To Just Mutually Agree Not To Go Any Further!

Well, wouldn’t you know it, about seven days after sending a money order to the gurus mailing address.

Nothing had yet arrived in the mail? Not wanting to be one that prematurely jumps to the wrong conclusion, I casually (yea right!) sent off an email inquiring as to when I could reasonably expect my course via first class priority mail!

At first, the guru graciously replied and claimed, he’d somehow temporarily lost my current reply mailing address! And that was the reason for the hold up! And to please accept his sincerest of apologies!

So here’s little old me (aka) naive Charlie, I  immediately sent a return email with my return mailing address in it. And another seven more days go by and still nothing!Say what?

Sometimes Even Your Best Efforts Fall Just A Little Bit Short! (So Try Not To Add Fuel To The Fire By Being Short Sighted On Top On Things!)

Now, unbelievably after another inquire  email from me, the guru emails me back and this time claims that the post office had in fact returned the package to his office, because they claimed my mailing address was (in fact) invalid!Huh?

Now I’m officially in (I’m deeply concerned mode!) Now I basically ask and sort of issue my own ultimatum! And that being, that if the course is not here in the next X number of days!

I expect my entire $297 dollars to be returned to me asap! No if’s and or but’s! In the interest of space, I’ll gladly finish the remainder of this (almost said scam!), but this unfortunate situation in part two!

Sometimes Even Your Best Well Meaning Intentions Just Come Up A Bit Short!

Okay,  I admit it’s a rather crude way to get (at least) a few returning eyeballs!

But hey! Remember the old silent movies way back in the day! Where the hero (and or the proverbial damsel in the distress), would be tied up on a train that was (somehow), always invariably headed down a track that was nearing a rather steep cliff!

And as the uncontrollable tension mounted and your heart was about to beat out of your chest! (Or at least that’s how it felt temporarily! Remember?) You wondered how in the world they would ever escape in time to avoid going over that cliff!

Because, they just couldn’t seem to get themselves free! And as the music slowly built to a gut checking crescendo! The film would suddenly freeze and advise you to return next week! For exciting conclusion!

Hey, it’s the very same thing going on here! And those of you that are curious enough to want to know and discover what you can do, even after you attempted some so called proven effective conflict resolution strategies,  yet you still wound up with a rather bad taste in your mouth!
