So have you ever noticed “how” many small business owners and or service providers, that the three all too common occurrences, you’re about to be exposed, they mistake for marketing techniques.

News flash: they’re not.And the sooner you come to grips with  that fact. The sooner you can start strategically increasing your profits. On the other hand, if you keep going down this current road entrepreneur, your profits (if any) will be extremely thin and short lived.

Isn’t it amazing “how” many otherwise extremely savvy small business owners and or service providers, will do something incorrectly, but they complain about not having time to do something correctly? Have you noticed this?

Three Marketing Techniques Far Too Small Business Owners Use That They Really Shouldn’t!

Sadly, far too many cash starved small business owners and or service providers, mistake what your about to read as valid marketing techniques. Rest assure they’re not.

Instead, the consistent use of the following three resource draining activities, do nothing more than increase your (already) way too high stress levels, while systematically draining your already dwindling bank account.

1.) Resource draining activity #one: Entrepreneur, you’ve gotta stop being so vague and non specific in (practically) all of your written and online marketing materials!

It’s like saying “I love music!” That’s okay, but specifically, “what” type of music do you like? Opera, or gangsta rap? Or what? Be as specific as you possibly can. When a first time visitor lands on your site, does your header or main tagline (that’s typically the text just below your main power headline in your header)  on your WordPress blog make it crystal clear, what issue or problems you address or solve?

You don’t expect your visitors to search around for the answer do you? Vague is not a proven marketing tactic.

2.) Resource draining activity #two: Next, “what’s” with this lack of focus stuff? If you’re not really sure what the heck your best customers and clients want, how in the world can you properly customize (and position) your marketing message, so they find you!

3.) Resource draining activity #three: Stop relying on your image to produce sales and profits, and instead get yourself a real day to day marketing plan! A cute or clever logo and a catchy saying (or at least) what you think is a catchy saying! Simply isn’t going to cut it!

You need a plan, then you need an overall battlefield tested marketing strategy, then you gotta implement via some proven workable  tactics! Monitor and measure. Then tweak (aka) test and rinse and repeat!

Bonus tip:

4.) Resource draining activity #four: Stop hanging on to outdated marketing techniques/tactics that simply no longer work! Once they’ve proven themselves to be obsolete! It’s time to replace them!

Hey, it’s either pad your bank account or continue padding the advertisers! It’s your call. Stop letting these four bank account draining activities masquerade as proven marketing techniques, and you’ll be well on your way to improving your bottom line! Don’t you agree?
