By now it’s really no secret that your PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaign rates have not only gone back to pre pandemic rates. But on a lot of platforms they’re actually even more expensive, are they not?
Sure some platforms like Facebook were marketing savvy enough to temporarily, drastically lower their rates to both lure new and retain current regulars, right? But clearly those days are over.
Which is ‘why” it’s so darn important you or your major competitors stop underestimating or ignoring altogether the power of networking. because you’re consistently leaving a ton of money on the table.
Money which can and definitely should go basic business building necessities like, state of the art technology, automation, your marketing education, raises or bonuses to strategically attract the best talent you can etc. All of these proven activities can ultimately lead you or your major competitors to long term success, correct?
Entrepreneur Hopefully You Do Fully Appreciate The Compound Effect Of Strategic Power Networking? (Right!)
Case in point. As you recall in part one of this ongoing series. Your single location, non franchised retail appliance center. Decided every time you make a local delivery of any kind. Your professionally trained crew and crew chief.
You’ll check to see if your customer either has kids or grand kids. And as long as those kids fall under the ages of 6 & 12 or X to X. One of them (to begin with!) is going to get a free over the top party courtesy of your extremely marketing savvy appliance center.
And of course i stands to reason. Where the kids are invited, the parent(s) or legal guardians will be right there as well, correct? So the parents or legal guardians along with kid gets to invite 25 or X number of other local kids.
Which of course by extension means at least 25 other local parents or legal guardians. And what local kid between the ages of 6 & 12 can resist attending a real cool birthday party of their close friends, neighbors or classmates etc.
And you know what’s gonna happen in terms of twenty five or X number of local kids constantly bragging to their peers about the really cool party they were invited to, right?
Entrepreneur Hopefully Now You Can Better Appreciate Why You Don’t Need A Huge Budget! (In Order To Make A Really Big Splash!)
One of the very first non traditional power marketing strategies you or your major competitors will use is. Let’s say at least 25 other local parent(s) bring their kids to the party.
Which BTW will be held at a local mom & pop family style restaurant who has a designated room for such special events.
And even though the owner(s) would typically rent the room for at least $175 dollars for the day. (Or at least 6-8 hours give or take.) But because you or your major competitors retail appliance center ethically bribes not only the owner(s) of the restaurant.
By allowing them to buy any one item of their choice in stock up to $1,000 dollars. And they can get it at your actual hard cost. And opt in email subscribers it’s up to $1,500 dollars. And the exact same benefits apply to their current and future employees.
Regardless of whether they’re full or part time. Say what? And in exchange for your generosity. You or your major competitors not only get to rent the room for just $50 dollars.
But any time you wish to you can allow other local charitable foundations use the room, and you or your major competitors gladly pay the $50 or X dollar fee.
In exchange for being able to pass out some of your extremely tine sensitive discount coupons.
Who Needs To Constantly Spend Outrageous Sums Of Money On Dismally Performing Traditional Ad Campaigns?
And another one of the non traditional marketing strategies you or one of your major local competitors will at least test is this. Let’s say at least 25 local parents, (and let’s be brutally honest here!) We’re primarily talking about local moms. Who always go the extra mile or two for their kids, right?
This being the case. Your retail appliance center rep(s) who will also be attending the local events.
They will have all the parent(s) or legal guardians in attendance. Print their first and last name and phone number on an index card and drop it in a box provided by the rep.
And the birthday kid who will be temporarily blindfolded will reach into the hat. And that lucky parent, legal guardian or grand parent etc.
They win a free party which is an X dollar value. And all the parents who were runner ups. They automatically get two really cool bonus prizes worth X.
1.) Surprise bonus gift # one: Just for attending the party they get a free $25 or X dollar gift certificate to a popular local supermarket.
So you know they’ll be constantly bragging to their besties, siblings, in laws, co-workers, employees or neighbors etc. Both on and off of social media, correct?
2.) Surprise bonus gift # two: They of course will receive a extremely time sensitive gift certificate to save at least `10 or X% off up to $150 dollars.
If they come to you store alone before your ten or X day expiration date window expires. However, simply for joining your opt in email list and dragging a friend with them to your store, whose least 18 before your ten day expiration date window expires.
For an extremely limited time they can save 40 or X% off up to $1,500 or X number of dollars. Hopefully you now better appreciate “why” you or your major can no longer afford to neglect or ignore altogether the power of networking, don’t you agree?
