Know your numbers  (Because Doing So Allows You To Be Or Become Very Strategic!)

So the time has finally come. When you’ve decided to actually invest in some sort of paid ads and or promotions. That’s great. But before you actually invest a nickel.

Entrepreneur be darn sure. You have a semi realistic idea. Of what your ideal customers total lifetime customer value metrics are. Otherwise you’re of sort gambling.

Anybody can spend money on ads. And sadly far too many profit seeking entrepreneurs. Regardless of whether they (or you!) Primarily market on or offline.

They enthusiastically spend money advertising. But they (or you!) May not fully appreciate. Why you definitely need to know what your ideal customers total lifetime value metrics are.

Have you ever invested a nickel on so called traditional advertising? If so you probably already know how outrageously expensive and ineffective it is, correct?

These type of promotions are better left to companies with extremely deep pockets. Try to avoid what’s some time referred as “DOA” (Dead On Arrival) advertising.

The money leaves your account. Whether your ads are profitable or not. And you don’t get to invest that money, (or parts of that money!) In different areas of your business or service.

Have you tried the paid advertising route in order to scale your business and or services? It’s not exactly cheap to do so, is it? Of course once or as soon as you or your major competitors finally create a winning ad campaign.

What immediately comes to mind? Wherever you hear the heavily used term lead magnets? To the marketing creative such as yourself. Almost anything which over delivers value for your/our clients goes, correct? 😀

Case in point. Have a closer look at the featured image with this particular post. That gift basket. Could easily be used. Via some strategic A/B split testing.

To see if giving it away in a monthly or quarterly free drawing attracts more of your ideal customers. Or if using certain products which make up the entire gift basket.

Might actually wok better as free or at cost upsell products. Or as free bonus gifts worth X. For either referrals or as ethical bribes for posting positive reviews on their social media accounts.
