Since this is the third installment of this ongoing series, about “how”  extremely savvy entrepreneurs (such as yourself), often get blinded by some  rather impressive short term gains.

And far too often don’t see the literal (forest) of potential long term -untapped-  marketing opportunities, (of various degrees of short and long term potential money making possibilities) because of the trees low hanging fruit, quick  money making activities.

I mean, “what” extremely savvy entrepreneur wouldn’t want to take  advantage (as often as possible) of buying another former -local- competitors entire remaining inventory, for an incredible savings of 50-60%!

For one thing, “how” often do those type of potential money making opportunities come along? So when they do you’ve gotta be ready to respond,correct? Absolutely!

And here’s the other thing;it also means you can get indirect and or direct access to that former competitors extremely loyal customer base for literally pennies on the dollar.

And (potentially) the local vendors employees that service their former competitors as well!“What’s” indirect and or direct access to that potential pipeline worth?

So the purchasing of their remaining inventory, is really only the proverbial tip of the potential long term marketing iceberg.Don’t you agree? Good! Because watch “how” just by extending this extremely logical way of thinking out, just a few more degrees, an entire previously untapped mountain of long term marketing possibilities, suddenly begin to materialize!

So “Why” Do You Suppose That So Many Otherwise  Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Constantly Miss These Type Of Long Term Money Making Opportunities?

The purpose of this post is to highlight at least two more previously untapped, potential profit centers, that are currently buried in this particular (hypothetical) marketing example.

And by bringing them to the fore front of your conscious marketing mind, hopefully(going forward) you will start to develop the type of pro-active marketing vision, that will help you start to systematically recognize these (potential) untapped goldmines of marketing/networking possibilities, going forward.

That said, as was previously shared in part one, this extremely savvy -local- retail furniture store, not only had the extreme good fortune of being in the financial position, to buy a former local competitors entire remaining inventory, and save anywhere from 50-60% of it’s normal retail value!

But far more importantly; they were able to (indirectly) initially anyway, get access to that former competitors extremely loyal customer base as well! And that is (by far) the most important element of this entire scenario.

And here’s just part of the reasons “why!” Now strictly for the sake of example, in order to successfully demonstrate the concepts using some actual numbers. Let’s say this local furniture store, that was in the process of going out of business after seven years, had 3,500 extremely loyal customers.

How And Why Some Of The Absolute Best Small Business Marketing Ideas Are often Nothing More Than An Extension Or two Of What You’re Already Doing That’s Working!

Now (unfortunately), some of you read they got indirect (and or) direct access to their former competitors extremely loyal customer base, and in your haste to get on to the very next thing,you simply ran right past it! And you’re not truly processing, several potentially huge untapped (long term) marketing goldmine opportunities!That are literally staring you in the face!

For ex: every one of the those extremely loyal customers has a birthday, do they not? Yep! And at least some of them also have kids, do they not? Righto! And those kids have birthdays and or spouses!

And they may also have a spouse and or live in significant other, correct? And the significant other has a birthday too! Right?You betcha!

And they may have one or both parents still alive and semi local, correct? And (if nothing else), they may also have in laws and they probably work somewhere or they currently own their own business, right?

Which means, they either know co-workers that might be interested and or their employees and or other associates might want or desperately need some new or slightly used furniture, in which case they probably want to join the stores “slightly used and repossessed sales event VIP email alert list.” Don’t you agree?

Hope so! In any event, hopefully you’re starting to see “how” even extremely savvy entrepreneurs,can periodically miss these type of long term money making possibilities,that are often buried just below the surface of marketing possibilities!Don’t you agree? See you in part four! Until then..
