Often times, with the right, market tested strategies or tactics.You or your major competitors, can do just that. But here’s, the potentially profitable twist.
In a few select cases. not only can you or your major competitors, consistently create or generate, some of your ideal customers, for literally pennies on the dollar.
But a percentage of your ideal customers, will gladly upgrade and pay your regular premium prices. For some of your best products and services.Say what? Stick around and see for yourself. Fair enough?
So Why In the World Would Some Of Your Best Long Term Repeat Customers Gladly Pay Top Retail Prices For Your Products Or Services! (When They Could Initially Get Them For Half Price!)
On the surface and at initial first glance. It seem a little strange to say the least. Does it not? Absolutely. But rest assured, there is most definitely, a tried and true marketing twist, which will tie i all nicely together. Just ahead.
First. In order to fully s-t-r-e-t-c-h you current, marketing creativity just a bit. Let’s look at the big picture. Then dial things back a notch or two. And offer an extremely practical, (hypothetical) marketing example or two. Fair enough? Thanks.
Let’s take a look at two of the major, big box retailers. Which both have thousands of stores, in America alone. And a gazillion, (benefits hungry) employees/associates. (One in particular, currently has in excess of 360,000 employees/associates worldwide.)
So here’s a rather simple question for you. If your current or future entrepreneurial ventures, literally had tens of thousands of employee/associates. And you were in the position, to allow them to become customers, of an extremely popular service like Netflix.com.
But instead of them paying the current, monthly retail price of X. Netflix-s key executives, recognize, and would fully appreciate. The immediate infusion of my cash.
So they readily agree to temporarily “grandfather,” in, all of the big box retailers, current and future employees or associates.(and possibly keys vendors, current & future employees and top executives as well.)
Including current and future upper management. For just $5.99 per month. (get this?) For the next five years, (60 months.) And at the end of the 60 month period.
Those “grandfathered,” in employees/associates. Can either decide to cancel the service altogether. Or they can remain on. But, they still save twenty percent off the current retail rate.
Sometimes Consistently Attracting More Of Your Ideal Customers Is Simply A Matter Of Altering Your Current Marketing Perspective!
So go ahead and quickly do the math. What is 310,000 x $5.99 a month? (Personally, I’d say enough.) But technically. It’s $1,856,900 dollars more per month. And that amount times twelve. Then multiply by five. And let’s say, Netflix or Hulu-s exec-s, should be extremely pleased. Don’t you agree?
And in case you’re wondering. If there are 360,000 employees, worldwide, for this particular big box retailer. Why are only 310,000 of them being counted. Because, (like anything else in life.) For whatever reasons, the remaining 50,000 or so. Simply don’t want the service.
Or maybe they already have Hulu or something else. And simply don’t care to participate at this time.
You Don’t Need To Get Everybody In Order To Be Or Quickly Become Outrageously Successful!
Case in point.Have you ever heard of worldwide, mega conglomerate, called “The McDonald-s” corporation? Ever hear of an incredibly, six word phrase, they consistently use worldwide.
To help them consistently earn, additional billions of dollars per year? It’s called “an upsell.” And their incredibly popular, six word phrase goes lkike this. “Would you like fries with that?”
and believe i or not. That incredibly simple, six word question, adds a ton of additional, daily gross front end revenue, to McDonald-s overall, daily gross profits.
Of course right about now. You’re screaming at the top o your lungs. While that particular, proven strategy, might be great for McDonald-s, or any other major corporation. How or what does if have to do with your local bakery or X business or service, consistently making more money? Great question.
BTW.The reason McDonald-s famous “upsell” strategy was brought up. Is because even McDonald-s doesn’t generate 100% conversion rates, when their cashiers ask that question, do they? Nope.
But doing so is clearly profitable enough, they keep asking the question every day, do they not? Absolutely.
So How Can Your Local Mom And Pop Type Business Or Service Benefit From This Same Type Of Massive Cash Infusion Strategy?
So glad you finally asked. Let’s take your single location, Mom & pop, local bakery business. You know that 27, (or X number) of local businesses or services, located in the industrial warehouse park.
Which both you and some of your major competitors often deliver to? Yea, that one. Since you’re now on a first name basis, with at least one of the owner(s.) Here’s what you or your major competitors, initially propose to them.

Don’t Invest All Of Your Energy Just Being In Theoretical Mode! (You’ve Got To Get Started In Order To Consistently Move Forward!)
They just flash their two sided, laminated card. Which has these dates written on side (B.) of the card. And, any orders over $30 dollars. They automatically save 30 or X% off.
And automatically save 15% off any orders under $30 dollar. Again for life. Whether they remain with that particular company or not. This way, you know going forward. They will be constantly spreading the word, both on and off of social media. Don’t you agree?
