This post will define (at least three),however, it needs to be stated from the outset, this mini list, is just an overview, because everybody’s different and that fact makes for an extremely inclusive slant by everyone!

First, let’s be clear here, your not going to running a franchise, nor necessarily a (home based) MLM type of business. No offense intended to any eyeballs reading this, that may happen to be in those particular industries.
This is just the Mary Jane plain (offline) bricks and mortar type of typically Mom & Pop operations, that are always being started, by average people, every week (if not) everyday of the year.
With that said:
1.) Benefit # one: Whether your form a simple DBA (Doing Business As (aka) Sole Proprietorship, or a more legally protective LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) etc. You are (at least) one of, or are the major shot caller! In other words, you’re in charge! And you decide not only the direction, but’s what’s the overall vision and philoshy of the enterprise! Oh yea!
2.) Benefit # two: If you do decide to go the corporate route. Current Government laws afford legal corporate entities, such as LLC’s limited liability protection!
Which means the owners (aka) the share holders of the corporation, in the event the business fails. The owners (shareholders) are not personally responsible for any outstanding debts or other legal liabilities of the corporation, at the time of it’s liquidation. Yea, those lobbyist do earn their keep every now and again!
3.) Benefit # three: Legal corporations, have (in a legal sense!) unlimited life! Where humans (aka) the owner shareholders) do not! So if an owner dies or (simply) wishes to sell their part of the business, they are basically free to do so!
With some exceptions when specifically comes to ownership interest in what’s often referred to as an “S” Corporation or Sub corporation. (You’re definitely better off seeing your legal professional, for further clarification!)
Of course there are a few disadvantages to go along with your bowl of cherries! Such as “double taxation” etc.

Plus you regularly do some guest blogging and social bookmarking and question answering in forums specifically related to your particular niche.
That’s marketing in a nutshell my friend!
You (or somebody) consistently produces (writes) fresh original (and hopefully) relevant content. That’s a product in and of itself! Because really good content (regularly) get bookmarked!
You get invited to guest blog more often. The content can (and should be) re-purposed into other various formats (for viral marketing purposes!) Such MP3’s, ebooks and video formats etc.
The point is, when you throw in the fact that you (or somebody) is consistently analyzing your stats via Google analytic s etc. You my friend has tons of viable subjects to blog (share) both your own personal experiences, as well as of others as well.
