Why So Many Extremely Competent Freelancers Confuse What They Do With Being An Entrepreneur!

So how many actual freelancers (of any) kind do you currently know?

Or have you hired any lately?

On the other hand, are you an entrepreneur

Or do you currently know any really talented freelancers, (that) mistakenly think or believe, they’re entrepreneurs?

Because make no mistake about it, there is mostly definitely a major difference between the two! Sadly, a true entrepreneur, recognizes the difference, while most extremely talented freelancers, do not!

By and large the very top freelancers are extremely talented, self employed service providers of some kind.

And just like (even) the most talented plastic surgeons, they only earn an income, when they perform their service(s)! Correct?

But that’s not the case, with any true entrepreneur, now is it?

So Why Do Some Many Extremely Talented Freelancers Confuse What They Do With Being A Successful Entrepreneur?

Take notice, a true entrepreneur,(eventually) sets up various proven processes, within their business, (and or) service, that lets them create various forms of passive income streams!

For ex: they may initially create a comprehensive “how to” course of some kind, in which they share their “know how”, with either the general public, (and or) their specific niche.

In which case, they (or somebody) with the necessary skills, sets up some sort one page website, and or they merely add a sales page (sales letter), to their mobile responsive WordPress blog, and they sell various digital information products and or services 24/7, seven days a week!

Plus, (as they) strategically scale their processes, they have the added option to, offer commissioned only affiliates, the chance to earn ongoing and ever increasing commission percentages, for selling their various information products and or services!

Now, contrast that with “what” your all typical (top gun) freelancer consistently does!

Being A Successful Entrepreneur Or Successful Freelancers Ultimately Leads To Different Results!

Okay, so let’s take a much closer look, at “what” your all too typical freelancers, overall routine looks like!As previously mentioned; their main goals, by and large, is to continuously increase their (already) considerable skills!

And as they do so, they will also incrementally increase their rates! The same way, a respected plastic surgeon, will continually raise their rates, as their skill level grows!Correct?

But the major flaw, (if you will), in their particular approach is, (they only) eat, when they actually perform their service(s)!Right? So if they were to go on an extended exotic vacation, for the next 30 to 60 days!

They won’t be generating any income, from their top shelf freelance kills!Unless, they do like freelance experts, Elna Cain or Gina Horkey! Both of these two extremely talented freelancing experts, teach their expertise, via digital courses!Bingo!

Being A Successful Entrepreneur Means Having And Or Putting Systems And Or Proven Processes In Place Which Constantly Generate Some Type Of Passive income For You!

Now when either of these two experts, decide to go away on an extended family vacation, for the next 30- 60 days (or more.) Guess what? Their digital information empire keeps right on, rocking along!Does it not?

While your all too typical freelancer, has to immediately get back to work, after they take a (much needed) family vacation, because their main income, basically came to a complete stand still!

So What’s It Ultimately Gonna Be A Passive Income Producing Entrepreneur And Or  A Perpetually Tied To Your Next Income Producing Client Freelancer Of Some Kind!

So hopefully, you can see (and appreciate) the major differences “between” being a successful entrepreneur, and merely ,being a highly skilled top tiered freelancer of some kind! Any questions? Now as is customary during this part of our show.

  1. Great points Mark. I’ve had a few opportunities to freelance but as far as I’m concerned – no matter what you call it – it still comes down to trading hours for dollars. Even consulting is a gray area as far as that goes. I recently contracted to consult on a major project and while I’m excited about the work (and money!), it is already feeling a little too much like (gasp!) J-O-B which has led me to the unmistakable conclusion that I am now certifiably unemployable. 🙂

    • But you gotta admit, it’s a great feeling M!Right?LOL!

But you are absolutely right about pure, (income only) if
and when you work, any type of so called paid consulting, that probably 95% or more
of your typical, cash for solutions, type of consulting, that’s so
      prevalent today!

      It’s definitely, trading your expertise/time for money!And I know,
with all of your highly honed skills, knowledge, drive and networks, there is simply
no way a standard JOB or typical corporate career path would ever compliment
      your entrepreneurial spirit!LOL!

BTW, just so you know, for whatever reasons, the last two blog posts of yours, that I
tried to leave comments on, the spam robot kept rejecting my comments!

So I just went ahead and shared your awesome content as usual. And I even
tried clearing my cache, to see if that would help, because that’s about as far as
my tech troubleshooting skills go and it still wouldn’t allow my comments!Bummer!LOL!

Just so you know!As always, thanks so much, for sharing your extremely valuable input!

      I truly appreciate it!
