Ever been to an actual NFL game? Be it pre and or regular season? Way back when I was a kid (in Jr. high school), and playing Pop Warner football, they actually introduced our team during the half time ceremony of an NFL pre season game for the Oakland Raiders!
Who knew that experience would somehow translate into wanting to compete with other extremely savvy entrepreneurs years later!
How cool was that? Yea we came running out in our uniforms and got to run about 25 yards onto the field to screaming local fans! It’s too bad there was no youtube and smart phones back then! 😎
I just thought I’d share that trip down memory lane!
Anyway, obviously the NFL, along with all the other major sports leagues, like Major league baseball and the NBA and world cup Soccer etc. They all definitely know a thing or two about marketing, correct?
So for just a moment, think about 80,000 screaming and extremely fanatical, dedicated fans at your typical regular season NFL game. And it’s half time and the home team appears to be on their way to just blowing the visiting team completely off the field!Think that sort of sets the mood for some positive marketing results? Let’s find out!
So What Exactly Can The NFL Teach Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs About Consistently Generating Some Low Cost High Powered Marketing Leverage?
As was previously mentioned, this particular strategy, (because of it ‘s very nature) will probably work well, in just about any given situation, however, when it’s done whenever the home team is winning, (why) that’s just fuel on the fire!Don’t you agree?
So here’s the deal.Whenever it’s half time of a major sporting event, (no matter) which particular sport it happens to be!
Provided the home team is winning, (even by) the slightest of margins! (Obviously in baseball, this particular strategy) might be used during the seventh inning stretch! By way of the jumbo tron!
But let’s say it’s half time of a regular season NFL game and the home team is winning. Unbeknownst to the highly enthusiastic home crowd. A local Cadillac Escalade dealer, will have an attractive young lady drive one of their newest models right out to the fifty yard line!
And the jumbo tron screen will direct them to enter a “raffle”, for just a measly $500 dollars!
Some lucky person, (at least 18) will win this $60,000 dollar beauty with all the trimmings!(Pretty girl not included! 😎 )Plus get $2,000 dollars worth of gas cards! And a cool $1,500 dollars in cash to help stimulate the local economy! 😎 And have their picture and news story told, in at least two of the major local newspapers!
And at least one of the local major TV (and radio networks) will interview them for at least five minutes! All that for a lousy one time cost of just $500 dollars! Not bad right?
So How Do You Consistently Create Totally Insane Marketing Leverage? (Just Like The Ultimate Insiders Do!)
Entrepreneur, here’s the real point, for that little one time cost, the 80,000 plus, (or whatever) the actual number turns out to be at each weekly regular season game for every NFL team!Plus the playoffs thank you very much!
(But) just for the sake of argument and to fully illustrate the enormous untapped marketing leverage here. How many of the 80,000 thousand in attendance, do you think will enter this “raffle?”
Especially in view of the fact, it’s half time and the home team is currently winning!Let’s go with a rather modest 75% or 60,000 of the 80,000 decide to text in their one time entry fee! (80,000 x .75% = 60,000)
And the ultimate “grand prize winner” will be notified by text and or email, no later than three hours after the game! Will your calculator let you tally numbers this high?
What’s, (in this particular case only) 60,000 x $500 dollars=? ) Personally, I’d say enough, but that’s just me! 😎 But for the record, it’s somewhere in the $30,000,000 million dollar neighborhood!
All inside of 15-20 minutes, mind you! But the real point is, (entrepreneur) there is a potential ton of untapped marketing leverage, to be had, whenever you and I strategically tap into “raffles”, contests and or low cost, high powered “free drawings!” Don’t you agree?
And that’s just one of the extremely powerful marketing lessons, the NFL and the other major sports leagues can teach extremely savvy entrepreneurs such as yourself.

Hi Mark,
I love your NFL scenario of using the $500 car raffle. When you look at it that way it makes a lot of sense. You can see how they use the automobile to leverage the raffle power.
It is said that 97% will fail at making money online and only 3% will make it. When you break it down to getting 1 few out of 10 on your videos, it makes sense.
You have an awesome week Mark and thank you for sharing!
