So once again, are you finding yourself, (temporarily) stuck, between desperately trying to increase retail sales, and trying to keep the lights on, (or your self web hosting fees paid) until your next billing cycle!

Does that frightening scenario, sound all too familiar? And while it’s definitely, a vicious cycle, to find yourself, temporarily stuck in, or worst yet.Flat out trapped in!

Entrepreneur, as with most things in (both) life in general, and business in particular.Believe it or not, you do have, some extremely viable, potential marketing alternatives.

And just depending, on “how” much continual, work, effort and resources, you’re willing to devote to solving, or at least, addressing your immediate cash flow problems.

And it’s those that are (currently) where you’re at and those slightly, and or far behind you, that provide you with your best untapped marketing possibilities, and or untapped opportunities!

Case in point; take a look at three rather unconventional ways, you (and or) major competitors, can and definitely should be using (over and over), in order to generate more first time customers, (for literally pennies on the dollar!)

Plus inexpensively create, some long term repeat customers and or referrals etc.

(Important note: Entrepreneur, if you don’t currently have any, you definitely need to start working overtime, trying create and or cultivate, some reliable JV (joint venture), and or cross promotional partners asap!

Your Bank Account Will Definitely Continue To Grow As Your Lead Generation Strategies And Or Tactics Improve!

1.) Unconventional marketing strategy # one: You cash strapped service providers, with old, currently in active customers, and or ex subscribers etc.

If you can, combine resources, with another, non competitive vendor, and offer one of those vendors best market tested, low front end products, and or services, in order to “ethically bribe” your ex customers/subscribers, to come back asap!

For ex: let’s say you’re in the health & fitness industry.And your club currently has at least 200 ex- members, whose various types of paid memberships lapsed over the years, and for whatever reasons, they never bothered to renew, and you and your staff never bothered, strategically following up with them!(Bad marketer!)

As a proven (long term ) marketing strategy, for successfully re-activating them on some level.Why not grant them 100% access to your facility, but only for your two or three (traditionally) slowest days of the week!For an extremely low, (just above your actual cost) price!

And make your offer “extremely time sensitive!

Make Your Small Business Marketing Strategies Personal And Relevant And Typically You’ve Got A Proven Winner!

2.) Unconventional marketing strategy # two: Let’s say you own a Mom & Pop style family restaurant.Create special laminated “Family Plan” discount coupon cards, and on your traditionally slowest days of the week.

Or for the entire summer or winter months of X to X.Let the adult holder of the card, bring in, no more than three kids, (blank and under), and allow the kids, and one guest 18 and over, to save 15% off their entire bill!

And offer the adult guest, one of your laminated cards, that are annually renewable, for just $7 (or X) dollars per year!

3.) Unconventional marketing strategy # three: Let’s say you run an extremely successful, local retail furniture store. And typically, on your customers bigger purchases, you offer your, extremely popular “EZ” payment plan, for their convenience.

But as an additional, exclusive benefit, to your very best paying customers only! You offer your extremely popular, “Just Ten Percent Down And Zero Percent Interest Payment Plan,” for the next 18 months! Only available, to your VIP opt in email/mobile marketing subscribers only!

And in order to stay eligible, for these super generous payment terms, they have to remain an active subscriber, to least one of your opt in email/mobile marketing lists.Nothing overly techie here, correct?

    It’s the objective of any business owner or trader to grow and expand his business. The business owner adapts advertisement and promotion to grow it. Since past few years with the evolution of new ideas Social media marketing and Email marketing have been used by Marketers to grow business.

    I do agree with Marquita here. I live in a tourist town that is seasonal. What they do is all get together from small shops to restaurants and publish a newspaper that is free and just about everywhere you go. It is a “guide” for visitors. It is handy and does bring a lot of business to the mom and pop places around. Even those over priced places which are oh so popular.

    Getting together with others is one of the best things a small business can do to get their word out to others. I have done this myself with my offline business years back and it worked great.

    I do believe in the power of working with others.

  4. These are all excellent ideas but I especially like the “Family Plan” card. Where I (currently) live tourism accounts for a big chunk of revenue for businesses of all sizes but there is a tendency for the smaller businesses to just let the visitors bureau, the state, and larger businesses carry the load when it comes to marketing and advertising. I don’t know of many that have websites or offer special promotions and I believe that’s a big mistake because many more people would take the opportunity to “shop local” if they were enticed to do so.       Sadly, most small, cash strapped business owners, and or service providers,
      simply aren’t taking advantage of as many marketing opportunities and they can or should.

      And therefore, constantly struggle and waste (in my opinion anyway) a ton of
      money and other, extremely limited resources, trying to advertise like they’re
      the corporate 500 type! Big mistake!LOL!
