Three Incredibly Simple Reasons Why Your Business Isn’t As Productive As It And Should Be!Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series about how and why your business and or service, simply may not currently be as productive as it can and should be.

Obviously, there are lot of reasons and overall contributing factors. In part two of this series, you’ll discover at least two more extremely critical reasons why your business simply isn’t as currently productive as it can or should be.

Straight away, you should know, understand and appreciate that it has far less to do with potentially overriding outside factors, such as current or future local, state or federal Government regulations.

Clearly, these things do play a role for sure. However, by in large, what it (more times than not) actually boils down to is, how well you and I strategically leverage the assets and other resources that we do in fact, actually have (for the most part) total control over.

With that as back drop; let’s take an even deeper look into how and “why” your business and or service, may not currently be as nearly productive as it could and should be.

So Why Isn’t Your Business Being As Productive It Could And Should Be!

One of the most obvious reasons (which is actually two fold) is because you try and rely way too much on your own internal network and you simply don’t employ your extremely (potentially) lucrative outer network. For ex: entrepreneur, do you not realize or can you not yet appreciate the enormous untapped potential creative goldmine you’re (in all likelihood) potentially sitting on?Huh?

That’s correct! Meaning- your customers and clients (but especially) your most loyal, best paying customers and or clients, are simply loaded with untapped marketing (read that as ) problem solving capabilities!

Nod your head cadets, because it’s true! For instance; if you would but take the time and offer to reward (bribe) them by sponsoring periodic “contests” of some kind. You would quickly discover, the various low cost (creative ways) they have of helping your business and or service (not only grow!) but prosper as well.

For ex: let’s say you want to get more active within your local community and start being more charitable. As well you should.

Suppose you initially tested the following fundraising strategy. Suppose you run a local non franchised Mom & Pop appliance retail outlet. And during  the summer months, you place a really huge sign in the middle of your story and each month you “raffle” off a nice state of the art barbecue grill.

And let’s say the normal retail price is just $599 (plus tax of course!) And for just $75 dollars, each month at least two guaranteed winners will win something! Obviously first prize will be the $599 dollar barbecue grill for just a measly $75 dollar investment!

Entrepreneur You’ll Be More Productive When You Get More Creative!

And the runner up grand prize winner automatically wins $200 dollars in local grocery store gift coupons. From one of the major local grocery chains of their choice! However; here comes the first potential marketing twist.

Since you will also be donating at least 20-30% of your monthly raffle earnings to several local charities! Here’s how you might potentially sweeten the pot. Meaning- you’d definitely need to inexpensively test how you might go about systematically sweeten the pot.

Every monthly “raffle” entry contestant that donates an additional $25 dollars, to be giving to support local needy families around Thanks giving and Xmas. Their name automatically goes into the raffle an additional time, for that specific month!

But you solicit additional creative ideas from your extremely valued customer/client base. And you’ll reward every body that participates in your survey/contest. But the top five suggestions (to be decided by you and your staff!), those extremely creative winners automatically get special-time sensitive- laminated VIP discount cards.

And for the next 12 months, they automatically save 40% off any and all purchases, including anything they buy that’s already marked down on sale and or is a close out item! (Think that little number will earn you any social media time on Facebook, twitter and Instagram etc.)

Tap Into The Untapped Creative Genius Of Your Current Customer And Or Client Base!

Think about what their constant positive buzz, by being really active on the various social media platforms, like Facebook and twitter will do to galvanize your potential local customer base!

And when they go to work bragging about what they just bought with their special VIP discount card from your business! And how twice a month, they can bring any new first time customer to your store (that’s over 18) on  “the buddy plan” and that first time guest automatically gets 30% off whatever they purchase!

With no minimum purchase restrictions! And again, you solicit them and your other extremely valued customers (or clients) and ask how and what you can and should do, in order to dramatically improve these fairly basic market tested strategies!

Entrepreneur, they will simply shock and amaze you! Given the chance! And for basically pennies on the dollar! You’ve figured out a really inexpensive way of tapping into the previously untapped creative genius of your customer/client base!

You start systematically implementing proven strategies such as that.

And you will no longer have to worry and or be concerned, as to how or why your business, product or service, isn’t currently as productive as it can or should be! Don’t you agree?

  1. I like that you mentioned using your current customer base. In business school we were always taught that you should market to the swing group through the eyes of the love group. You really will have more success if you can get your customers to market for you.

    • Absolutely Kevin!

Although truth be told! It’s best to simply inexpensively
teat and track both approaches and let the market based on your
results, tel which direction will be the most productive!

      Thanks for sharing you thoughts!

  2. Hi Mark,

I love the way you integrate things when it comes to marketing. I am currently working on a Joint Venture. Shhhh lol

Me and this other person have different products that can be combined as one. We are working out the details, but what I can tell you is that I will offer something free for his list and vise versa.

A win win situatio if it comes into fruition. We are in the talking stages right now, but working with others on a Joint Venture can be a good thing!

    • Can’t wait for that one!

I’m sure it will be a hum dinger!LOL! JV’s are just so cool and so potentially
profitable when they’re done right. Don’t you agree?

Thanks so much for sharing your real world experience Coach, because it really reinforces all
of the theory savvy entrepreneurs can and will be exposed to!

And thanks as always for your continuous support! Both are greatly appreciated!
