So ladies & gentlemen, do find yourself, (primarily by) some extremely close friends and or immediate family members, constantly accusing you of working way too hard? With regards to running and or trying to get your on or offline venture off the ground? Okay!
Or what about this; would you say that whatever level your on or offline business is currently in, that you’re 110% committed to seeing it grow as rapidly as possible? Alright, that’s certainly good to hear.
The reason why I ask, is because, in spite of your answers, would it shock and or surprise you, that there are at least three critically important issues, (areas of your business if you will),that even some of the savviest of all profit seeking, totally dedicated entrepreneurs, are still constantly guilty of lying about! Say what?
Nod your head cadets, because it’s true!Now before we go any further!I wanna make something crystal clear!
The fact that I’m tackling such a semi sensitive (and quite personal) issue head on, I don’t want you to think that I’m in anyway, shape or fashion attempting to separate myself from the pack, and therefore trying to get on my (so called) “moral high horse” here!
Quite the contrary!Because I’m personally as guilty as anybody else, with regards to this particular subject matter! 😎 That’s the primary reason(s) I feel comfortable enough to speak on it!….
So What Are These Three Critically Important Issues That Even Some The Savviest Of All Entrepreneurs Are Constantly Guilty Of Lying About?
(And Why The Heck Does Or Should It Matter?)
Okay so here we are!But first, let me clue you in on, (at least) part of my primary motivations for embarking on such a rather bold, and extremely (evergreen) subject/topic!
Like a great many number of you, I too offer (both) free & paid one on one consulting services, (to various degrees) to some of my customers and clients! With just an extremely side order occasionally, of what some of you more affectionately refer to as ongoing Coaching.
And because over the years, you start to notice, (with my rather diverse) clientele anyway, certain recurring patterns of (both ) behaviors and verbal rationals given, for certain recurring behavioral patterns! 😎
Thus, the primary motivation for (attempting) in a superficial way,(anyway) to at least partially address this particular evergreen subject matter!
Because as most of you know, normally this text would be hammering away nonstop, on some way to incrementally increase, (both) your short and long term gross profits, using this or that type of “battlefield tested” marketing strategies and or tactics etc!
However, there are certain ongoing issues entrepreneur, that if they aren’t effectively dealt with asap! The inevitable chaos that will surely follow, will ultimately lead to you/our dreams of successful entrepreneurship going down in flames!
So Why Is Systematic Lying Such An Integral Part Of So Many Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Ongoing Rise To Ultimate Success?
Okay, with that as our initial back drop here. Let’s have a much closer look at these three critically important issues, that unfortunately even some of the savviest and most profit driven entrepreneurs are constantly guilty of lying about!
And see what if anything, we can all learn from doing so!And do keep mine in, these three critically important areas of business, while on their own may not cause the eventual sinking of your or my entrepreneurial ship!
But left unchecked over time, they will certainly cause far more long term damage than you can possibly appreciate!Until of course, it’s too late!
1.) Extremely critical lie # one: Let ‘s as quickly as possible, set the stage on this one!
For some odd reason, far too many brand new, paid (one on one) consulting clients, that (mind you) are supposed to be paying me their hard earned money, to get some proven advice on “how to” (both) stream line certain, daily and or weekly activities in their business/service that are currently costing them a little too much money!
While simultaneously, discovering some less conventional ways of effectively marketing/advertising their cash challenged business, products and or services etc.
That said, when initially asked to conservatively allocate “how” much non productive total time they currently spend, (either) per day and or per week, aimlessly cruising the various social media sites, primary Facebook! 😎
They will often answer, (get this!) it’s conservatively no more, (on average) than 20 to 25 hours per week!Excuse me! Now the main reason for my concern (and hopefully) yours as well!
When asked to give a conservative estimate of what an hour of their extremely valuable time is worth, were the tables to be turned and they were charging yours truly! 😎
The all too typical, (supposedly) conservative estimate is, roughly $200 dollars per hour!(And sometimes, believe or not, they’ll say it’s worth even more!)
Then my next immediate questions begs asking? How can you and or anyone in your organization justify investing, (more like) afford to blow an estimated $4,000 to $5,000 dollars (a week mind you!) in unused potential billable working hours, simply playing around on Facebook and or any other social media platform?
($200 dollars per hour x 20 hours per week = X ($200 dollars per hour x 25 hours per week = $5,000 dollars per week!)
Because they claim money is extremely tight, and that’s why they can’t currently afford to implement strategies and or tactics, X, Y or Z!Yea right!
While Most Savvy Entrepreneurs Are Extremely Conservative With Regards To Investing Money In Their Businesses! (Why Aren’t They As Equally Conservative When It Comes To Lying About Their Progress?
(Things that make you say hmm? 😎 )
2.) Extremely critical lie # two: Moving right along: Here’s another interesting one. Why is it, to the customer/client, whenever they initially attempt to explain, (in rather) minute detail(s) I might add! 😉
Why their business/service is currently where it is or isn’t! 😎 The vast majority will lead with, something to the effects of “Mark, to date I’ve literally tried everything, and none of this marketing stuff you’re advocating works for my particular, business,product, service and or industry because!” You fill in the blanks!
Ladies & gentlemen, if I hear that totally lame speech/rational one more time, my head will literally explode! 😎 Okay, so I whip out my (extremely) handy entrepreneurial marketing checklist!
And I have them attempt to semi document, both when and how they tentatively attempted to implement each given strategy and or tactic and what they initially did to modify (test) and tweak it etc!
And as you might have guessed within three items,( and usually less!) they sort of modify, if not completely adjust their testimony! 😎 Well now, color me surprise why don’t cha! 😎
3.) Extremely critical lie # three: And finally, when asked “how” (pray tell) they initially arrived at the monetary figure they used to pay for this particular ad/marketing campaign?
In other words, when asked point blank, if they know (and or) have any idea whatsoever, what the tentative total lifetime customer value of a customer/client is?
They all too typically sound like a national politician caught up in a major (you know what storm! 😎 ), desperately groping for some type of totally irrational and or incoherent answer! Before finally, reluctantly conceding, they honestly have no idea! 😎
Call me a skeptic, but ladies & gentlemen, these three critically important issues, (and obviously) there are many others for sure!
But these three critically important areas of business in particular, I’ve found that even some of the savviest of all entrepreneurs, are constantly guilty of lying about!So my parting question to you is this, is it just me or is there something up with that? 😎

Wow what a post – this will definitely get people’s “tails wagging” so to speak!
Isn’t it amazing how folks can dither and even reject genuine offers of value based on price yet thise very same people place no value on the time they waste online.
Lying about your progress (or successes) is very sad and an indicator of a real character flaw. People always respond to authenticity and genuine attempts to share and help much more than some sleek presentation full of hype and the other stuff!
People buy people first, not the offer or the product so why can’t people realize that and just be themselves.
