Three All Too Common Internet Marketing Mistakes Far Too Many Entrepreneurs Make!Part Six
Ladies & gentlemen in part six of this ongoing series, is it alright to deviate slightly, from the first five installments, overall main theme? Thanks!
Much appreciated! Here’s why doing so, is so critically important.
Far too many aspiring entrepreneurs, tend to veer off into the weeds of stagnation and frustration, and ultimately lose (both) their focus and primary purpose.(Sound familiar?)
Don’t get me wrong here.Of course they realize their ultimate purpose, is to always serve their customers and or clients, ( to the very best of their collective abilities!), right?
While earning a reasonable long term gross profit, on both the front and back ends of their sales funnel. Whether your primary sales funnel, is via Internet marketing or not.
Sadly, often, what ultimately whines up happening is, they sort of lose sight, either temporarily, and or altogether, of how to do so! So let’s cover three critically important reasons, why this all too frequent occurrence, commonly plagues, far too many aspiring entrepreneurs!
So What Are These Three All Too Common Marketing Mistakes Far Too Many Aspiring Entrepreneurs Constantly Make!
Even though, the first five installments of this ongoing series, focused heavily on, the all too common marketing mistakes, aspiring entrepreneursstart ups, small business owners, and or service providers, constantly make!
And definitely need to (either), drastically reduce doing, and or to eliminate doing altogether. In part six, you will discover, three all too common self sabotaging behaviors (if you will), which, if left unchecked, will most definitely hinder, and or prevent your chances for some major long term success altogether!
So here they are, in no particular order.Again, these three primary mistakes, are not exactly marketing mistakes per se.
They just fall under the much broader, general umbrella, of all too common, general success principles, which far too often, generally get ignored and or overlooked, by aspiring entrepreneurs!
1.)All too common marketing mistake # one: Sadly, far too many aspiring (and or) start up entrepreneurs, lack real, long term-get it done now- focus! Sure, they come out of the gate totally on fire!
For a while anyway! Then slowly, as the inevitable bumps in the entrepreneurial road, and frequent hiccups in their daily/weekly operating cash flow, starts to severely fluctuate, like a buying & selling frenzy, on one of Wall Street-s busiest days!
They start to (temporarily), and or lose their primary focus altogether! And (sadly), start chasing (at high rates of speed!), “get rich” click type of, illusion-ary marketing strategies, and or solutions! And you can probably guess, how things ultimately turn out, right?
This sort of hit & miss thinking, and sporadic approach to effectively dealing with the day to day challenges, of successfully running your small business, and or service, is outrageously expensive, on tons of different levels!
Even Incredibly Smart And Extremely Talented Entrepreneurs Can And Do Suffer From A Temporary Lack Of Primary Focus!
2.)All too common marketing mistake # two: This next (all too common) marketing mistake, and or success principle attitude, far too many aspiring entrepreneurs, and or first time start up owners constantly make is!
They think like former, (and or current) employees do, instead of like trailblazing, spontaneous thinking entrepreneurs do! Huh?
Meaning:(Unfortunately) far too aspiring entrepreneurs, and or first time start up types, think they can behave -long term- like the all too typical 9-5 employee types do! And still ultimately succeed! Wrong.
Ladies & gentlemen, especially in the very beginning of your entrepreneurial journey, (you simply) cannot afford, nor do you have, (or will you have) the luxury any time soon, of conveniently checking in at 9 am M-F or Saturday, and hope to somehow finish with all of your never ending, daily activities, by 4:59 in the afternoon!
And spend the rest of your extremely limited time, cruising your Facebook feed, checking your multiple email accounts, texting friends & family members, or watching some of your favorite shows on Hulu or Netflix!
It most certainly would be nice, if that were the case! But rest assured, it most certainly is not!
Being An Effective Entrepreneur Takes More Time Than It Does To Get A Bill Through Congress!
3.) All too common marketing mistake # three: This last (all too) common marketing mistake, is critically important!Failure to set “realistic” goals, which are based on your current skill and mindset!
Too many times, aspiring entrepreneurs, and or first time start up types, try to base their overall anticipated results, on some already established guru and or guruettes, documented results!
Of course this is totally unrealistic! For one thing, the guru/guruette has already established the proper foundation!
Which (typically) explains, why they can seemingly start a brand new blog, and within 90 short days or less, start consistently generating 100’s of thousands, (if not) millions of unique visitors to their state of the art WordPress blog and or website, and or get as many podcasts downloaded!
(Big hint: Unlike you and I, they’re not literally starting from scratch, like the rest of us mere mortals, would have to start from scratch! Remember that 50,000 strong, or more opt in email/mobile list they’ve strategically built over the last 2-5 years!(Plus the other targeted lists, they can readily get access to!Which you and I clearly cannot!)
When they launch their brand new, (you fill in the blank!) They drive a gazillion targeted eyeballs to ‘whatever’ they happen to be promoting at the time, and they also get a certain percentage of their best joint venture (JV) and or cross promotional partners, to do the same!
And speaking of strategically cross promoting. One of my cross promotional partners, Rachelle Tan of jscharting.com fame. And Linda Brenner of vervoe.com fame.
Their constantly growing social media presence, makes it a whole lot easier, to constantly generate, some much needed, targeted exposure. For literally pennies on the dollar.
The More You Develop Your Entrepreneurial Skills The less Likely You Are To Fall Victim To False Expectations!
Entrepreneur, that’s not quite the same as you and I, trying to use a combination of various social media platforms, potentially expensive PPC (Pay Per Click) and or paid banner, or ‘solo’ ads etc. And our own opt in email subscribers, to drive targeted traffic to our whatever! Now is it? No way!
My friend, these are three all too common reasons ‘why’, far too many aspiring entrepreneurs, and or first time start up types, constantly struggle, and or ultimately fail altogether!
Avoid these three major mistakes, whether you’re currently doing them, via Internet marketing or not. And you just dramatically increased, the odds of your long term success becoming and remaining a reality! Don’t you agree? Now as is customary during this part of our show.
