Hopefully after initially reading and re-reading part one of this ongoing series. You now (not only) have a much deeper understanding. But also a much better appreciation of “what” makes you or your major competitors customized brand building strategies a potential game changer. Agreed? Great.
This is so good to hear. Going forward. Let’s add at least a few more potential, previously untapped profit centers to the mix. This way you can start start systematically scaling your business or service. And consistently out promote at least some of your local main competitors. For literally pennies on the dollar.
And consistently generate more free, positive viral word of mouth and mouse buzz in the process. Sound good? Great. Let’s turn the page and get this party started the right way.
So What Is Brand Building Without A Little Marketing Creativity To Go Along With It?
Great question. As you dive even deeper into part two o this ongoing series. Hopefully you’ll discover the answer(s.) So quickly picking up where part one left off.
After attending a few local flea market events. You strategically form a few potentially profitable cross promotional arrangements with at least two local female vendors. One sells some great looking homemade pottery. And the other makes some extremely eye catching homemade jewelry.
Primarily rings, bracelets and earrings. You approach both ladies, with the following potentially, mutually beneficial arrangement.
On your traditionally slowest days of the week. Preferably throughout the entire year. On one day of the week. You’ll have the homemade pottery maker do at least two things to begin with.
1.) First: You’ll have them either create or temporarily donate at least three of their best and most expensive pieces. For you to place in your shop for your most loyal, long term repeat customers and new daily walk-ins to see.
And also include a place holder with her cards in them. So if anyone in your shop. Including your current staff or current or future vendors want to get in touch with her they can.
(And of course she’s only too happy to give either you, your customers, current and future staff members or your current and future vendors a special first purchase discount savings percentage of X. With absolutely no minimum purchase requirements necessary.
2.) Second: You’ll gladly set up a portable table which you gladly supply. And on her designated day of the week. She can sell here wares to your customer base.
With a really cool marketing twist. (Extremely important note: This particular marketing twist pertains to any and all potential vendors who sell anything in your shop.
Simply for agreeing to proactively promote your extremely great tasting beverages when they’re promoting at the local flea markets. They automatically get to keep 100% of any and all sales they generate in your showroom on their designated day. Say what?
And of course on your other traditionally slowest day of the week. The female vendor who makes homemade jewelry sets up her portable table in your showroom for 4 – 6 hours.
This Is How You Or Your Major Competitors Systematically Take Your Cross Promotional Arrangements To the Very Next Level Or Two!
Otherwise if for whatever reasons they don’t want to strategically cross promote with you. Then you automatically get 25 or X% of all front end revenue they generate while in your showroom.
Here’s the next part of your long term market tested promotional strategy. As previously mentioned in part one. Hopefully at least one, (if not) both of these vendors are extremely proactive on social media. Or even better if they have their own opt in email or text message subscriber list(s.)
But as look as they systematically spread the word about appearing at your showroom. It’s all good. Because they will inform their followers or subscribers to drag a friend with them whose at least 18.
And for doing so. They will both receive free plastic Xtra large big gulp mugs. (Which you’ll gladly provide.) And both guest will be able to sample any of your beverages of their choice. Say what?
Think about the positive word of mouth and mouse buzz. This incredibly simple marketing strategy will create. And of course it’s extremely limited to the 100 potential first time customers who drag a potential customer/guest with them.
And here’s the really cool part. They get to keep the mugs. And each time they come back to your store. They automatically get to buy an Xtra big gulp beverage of their choice. And instead of paying the usual retail price of $5.29 per cup. They only pay $.99 cents per cup. Say what?
This way you know they’ll definitely help constantly spread the word. Both on and off of social media. Agreed?
Why Keep Wasting A Fortune On outrageously Expensive Advertisements! (When You Can Systematically Out Promote Your Major Competitors For Literally Pennies On The Dollar!)
Here’s the other strategy which was also previously mentioned in part one. On the days these local female vendors set up their portable tables in you or your local main competitors shop.
They will also be given these exact same free, Xtra large plastic big gulp cups. And throughout the entire day they and if they have no more than one additional staff member assistant with them. Or a relative temporarily helping them out for the day.
Both of them get the free Xtra big gulp plastic cups. And they get to sample whatever they want for the entire day. however, going forward.
Each time the vendor returns to your shop on her non designated days. (Provided they bring their big gulp cup with them.)They automatically pay just $.49 cents for their big gulp beverage. Instead of the normal retail rate of $5.29 per cup like the general public does.
And going forward. Their staff member or temporary helper only pays $.99 cents for their Xtra large beverages of their choice. Provided they bring their cups with them.
Word Of Mouth Or Mouse Marketing Is Definitely A Market Tested Winner! (So Stop Being Reluctant To Utilize It In Your Long Term Marketing Tool Kit!
So you do the math. They’re drinking some great tasting gourmet coffee or cocoa during the brutally cold winter months. Or some extremely great tasting ice tea or exotic lemonade during the brutally hot summer months. And because they have one of you or your major local competitors plastic Xtra large big gulp cups.
They’re either paying $.49 or $.99 cents per cup. And these beverages usually retail for at least $5.29 per cup. Can you say social media and positive word of mouth and mouse tsunami? I sincerely hope so.
