So What’s This Potentially Profitable Marketing Lesson A Static Website Can Teach You?

Do you know any small business owners, and or service providers, that still has an old school, static type of website? If so.

(Entrepreneur you don’t wanna miss this potential marketing lesson.)

And just so we’re clear here, I’m not referring to a small business owner, and or service provider, that has a static homepage on their website, but they also have a blog component to the site.

Meaning, your visitors can click on a tab on your sites top navigation menu, and be taken to the blog component of your site.

Instead, I’m referring to some of the (literally) millions of profit seeking small business owners, that still use an old school static website, with no blog (or updating) component to it!

So once you stop by their site for the very first time, and decide not to purchase anything, then they’re probably not ever coming back!

So let’s see what potentially profitable marketing lesson(s), you can possibly learn from having a an old school static type of website.

So What Potentially Profitable Marketing Lesson Can A Static Website Teach You?

Basically there are three primary marketing lessons, you can and should learn from a static website.

1.) Potential marketing lesson # one: Think about one of your favorite weekly sitcoms, and or weekly dramas. And think about those one or two episodes that really stood out in your mind. Was it the one in season two, or was it season three?

And in the case of the weekly sitcom, think about that one particular episode, where you literally couldn’t stop laughing! Now entrepreneur, (please) consider this train of thought.

After you watched that particular episode, (honestly) how many more times, can you watch the exact same episode, before you go completely insane? Exactly!

Now imagine this, a first visitor, somehow lands on your actual sales page. And they decide not to buy anything and they leave.

Ladies & gentlemen, how many times, do you think they will come back, to read the exact same sales page again and again? You so got that right?

And so it goes with a static webpage, once your audience gets exposed to it, for the very very first time, they’re pretty much not gonna keep coming back, (on their own), to the same unchanged (static) website!

Just like you won’t be watching the same episode, (of your favorite sitcom) over and over again! No matter how funny it originally was!

2.) Potential marketing lesson # two: Next, think about a potential follower on twitter, who, when they initially followed you, they had just 87 followers!

So for that (primary reason), you decided not to follow them back! And now just 18 months later, that exact same entrepreneur, now has an impressive 90,000 plus twitter followers. And their opt in email list of 8,947 subscribers, isn’t too shabby either.

So what’s the potential marketing lesson you ask? Actually it’s rather simple one; and it’s primarily this, in both life and business, while websites may be static, entrepreneurs are not!

They can and often do evolve for the better! So don’t be so quick to dismiss someone, who at first glance, doesn’t appear all that impressive.Because just down the road, you never know if the tables might turn! 😀

And that once, not so initially impressive visitor, just might turn out to be, the potential influence-r, who got away!

3.) Potential marketing lesson # three: And finally, marketing lesson number three is, unlike your static webpage, where potential visitors, basically visit it once, and rarely if ever again.

Think about your blog in contrast for just a second.Even if you only update it with fresh new problem solving content, once every other week. Or twice a month.

There is still a faint chance, the search engines will send you, at least a little free organic traffic, right? Or, if you have your own opt in email list, and you’re using one of the reputable paid email service providers.

You can send your subscribers, (or at least) a segment of your subscribers, your latest post, or guest blog post for that matter, could you not?

(And both your visitors and or your subscribers, can and will share your blog post on their social media sites. But will almost never do the same, with your non updated static webpage!)
