So “who” isn’t up for trying to figure out “how to” increase their retails sales and profits I might add BTW. Because you know entrepreneur, not all companies (big and small) actually increase their bottom line profits, even as they fight tooth and nail, (and quite literally) hook and claw trying to generate more revenue.
Some of them, in spite of the very best efforts to date. Have yet to turn even a slight profit, even though they annually generate billions of dollars in total gross revenue!
And of course you really don’t believe “what” your eyes have just read do you? Of course you don’t! Want some definitive proof? Say yes! Ever heard of a multi billion dollar corporation called Amazon? Say what? Nod your heads cadets, because it’s true!
Even though Amazon currently generates billions of dollar in total gross revenue annually, they’ve yet to actually turn a sustainable – year to year- gross profit! Stunning, isn’t it? And yet somehow, their stock still manages to remain one of the darlings of both private individual and extremely large and very well established institutional investors alike! Go figure!
And yet,they’ve been bleeding catastrophic losses (hand over fist), practically every since they first originally came on the scene! And yet their investors remain true and committed to the long term possibilities of CEO and visionary Jeff Bezo’s vision. The real (overall) point for you and I is simply this:
Since it’s highly unlikely that you and I (anytime soon anyway), will be able to be held and continuously supported long or short term by (literally) billions of dollars of investors money, while systematically post losing quarter after losing quarter, with no end in sight! Ain’t gonna happen cadets!
Perhaps it’s best if more emphasis is placed on some rather simple ways to increase retail sales and profits! Before we go under! Don’t you agree?
So “What” The Heck Do Cab Drivers, College Students And Your All Night Diner Have To Do With Increasing Your Retail Sales?
Ladies & gentlemen, (and fellow entrepreneurs) would you not agree, that good or bad, right or wrong. There are certain things that one can count on to happen over and over in this life? Absolutely!
Case in point: (at least in the US), you can and should definitely count on there being snow in Denver Colorado at some point during the winter months. Agreed? And you can most certainly count on there being extremely cold weather in the East, at some point during the winter, correct?
And you can always (most certainly) count on college students frantically cramming at the very last minute for final exams! Right? Yep!
And so one might skeptically ask, based on these accepted truths, “what” if anything, does that have to do with your Mom & Pop diner (hopefully) increasing retail sales?
Great question and so glad you asked! However, there are at least two more things you can most definitely count on too! And they are (A.) some college students partying like crazy, into the wee hours of the early morning on Friday & Saturday nights! And (B.) local cab drivers being consistently called upon to give some of them a ride!Bingo! Yea, so?
Well my entrepreneurial minded friend; with the right creative marketing mindset set in motion, you’ve potentially got the makings of an extremely profitable untapped goldmine! Huh?
Start Taking Advantage Of The Untapped Creative Marketing Opportunities That Already Exist!
Here’s “how.” Since your Mom & Pop diner also just happens to be open 24 hours on Friday & Saturday nights! Typically throughout the summer months! Why not start systematically contacting all the independent local cab companies in your immediate area first. And then slowly build momentum before approaching the other major corporate cab company owners.
And offer -both- the owners and their drivers (full or part time) a chance to save a few bucks (on a tasty meal) and increase business while they do so! How you skeptically ask?
Create some special VIP Friday & Saturday night only, discount coupon gift certificates. And ask the drivers to give them to any fares they pick up, that are clearly coming from one of the popular night clubs! But especially the college students!!
After all, anybody (but especially) college students that have been drinking and dancing up a storm for the last five or six hours, is probably pretty hungry once they leave the club, correct? Yep!
And by giving the fares these (limited usage) discount coupon gift certificates, they will be building a local reputation among the late night partying crowd and their immediate friends and circle of influence, correct?
And (also) give both the cab company owner -and their immediate family members-, and all of their employees in the business, including the drivers, special life time VIP, (laminated) annually renewable discount coupon cards, where they can can save X % anytime they use it!
Plus, an even larger savings percentage, when they use it on your traditional slowest days and times of the year! Like the traditional slower winter months!
Plus, they can get free (or give) them one large beverage of their choice, with any meal, plus a 75% savings off all the deserts they order with any meal, every time they bring a brand new first time customer (whose 18 and over) with them to your diner!
That’s just for starters! The point is entrepreneur, can you see “how” they could systematically approach the smaller independent cab companies (first) and leverage both their employees and immediate family members and their college student customer base segment, to strategically increase their retail sales? Say yes!
