So where do you get most of your most profitable, marketing inspiration from? And more importantly, if you had to (guess), and use a number from one to ten, which number would you use, if you thought is best represented, the degree to which, some of today’s savviest entrepreneurs, can learn some (much needed) marketing insights, from a local soup kitchen!
I know on the surface, (and without) much or any type of logical explanation, it seems a bit unconventional to say the least! 😎
But perhaps you will feel differently, after you’ve had a chance to, see “how” these two seemingly unrelated subjects, (that being) successful online marketing and the basic workings of a local soup kitchen, actually do mirror each other in certain respects!
And how by studying one’s process, the other process can actually come out better, for having done so!
So What Can Some Of Today’s Savviest Entrepreneurs Learn About Successful Marketing From A Local Soup Kitchen?
It may not be as far fetched as it originally seems! In event, (for just a second) picture the scene, at a well run, local soup kitchen.
It has ample food, great volunteer staff, that not only constantly growing! But they also, really (not only) care deeply about the local communities they live in, but they’re also equally as passionate, about serving to help other local residents, that are in need of some temporary assistance of some kind!
And because there’s always enough local TV, newspaper and radio segments, about the needy within their local communities, they almost never have to worry (to much), about their local legislators, threatening to interrupt, and or decrease their funding!
Now contrast to the local Mom & pop style family restaurant, located just two miles east of their main facility!
You walk in, the place is always spotless, the staff is always eager to please, and the food tastes great! And their prices are extremely reasonable, even in the face of a prolonged, nagging local recession and ever growing competition!
And the husband & wife owners, have been fixtures in the local community for years, and they often hold annual drives, and for at least 72 hours, or three business days, where they actually donate 3% of their gross receipts, to that very same soup kitchen! 😎
So what gives here? How or what, can any savvy entrepreneurs, possibly learn about marketing, from the volunteers that help run the local soup kitchen?
Sometimes Small Business Marketing Strategies Can Be Inspired From The Least Likely Places!
Now consider these two striking contrasts. First, whenever a person (or family) in temporary need, shows up to fed, they just grab a plate and help themselves, correct?
And once they’re done, a waiter or waitress, doesn’t present them with a bill of any kind, do they? And they’re free to come & go as often as they please right?
Now then, (let’s) take a look at how, (unfortunately) some of today’s savviest entrepreneurs, mistakenly run their online businesses!
And “see” if you can readily spot their (all too) common, glaring mistake! These brilliant and extremely hard working entrepreneurs (literally) go to the mat for their audiences, trying to deliver fresh, ” how to” problem solving content for their target audiences!Right?
And they offer really cutting edge, free lead generating content, in order to build their (all important) opt in email lists, right? (Watch out, because here it comes!)
Then proceed to deliver some great (sequential), email generated content to their list, pretty much from now on! Sounds great right? So “what” pray tell is the problem already?
If you’re still not sure, (please) re-read that last sentence again, until the obvious bites you in the you know where!Entrepreneur, that type of -here to fulfill all of your hunger needs-approach for free, (would be) fine, if you’re running a local soup kitchen!
But you’re not, are you? Well, then, (if) that’s the case, why aren’t you periodically sprinkling some of your best, affiliate links, to different problem solving products and or services, that you’re currently promoting!
And or periodically sprinkling your content, with links to your own, problem solving products or services etc! Otherwise, you may as well be running an online, digital soup kitchen, if all you’re gonna ever do is give your (extremely) valuable content away and never ask anyone, to invest a nickel, in any of your paid solutions!
Don’t yo agree? So without going any further with this particular analogy. Can you now (see) and hopefully appreciate, the extremely valuable marketing lessons, some of today’s savviest entrepreneurs, can and must learn from a local soup kitchen? So glad to hear that?
