So you do realize that whenever an (all important) first time visitor lands on (either) your static website, (read that as) online sales letter and or (mobile responsive) WordPress blog.
In all likelihood, (if they don’t) purchase from your website (on that very first visit) or if they (at least) stick around long enough to (hopefully) read a few posts (articles) and or watch a few of your highly entertaining videos etc.
Then you’re positioning yourself to have them enter your sales funnel,right?
In other words, if you’ve done your market research correctly (and hopefully) you have, then “whatever” you’re offering as your lead generating freebie, will hopefully, consistently compel a certain percentage of your online visitors, to want to enter their primary email address and name, in order to receive your problem solving info product.
And if it fails to do so consistently, then in all likelihood, you’re probably not offering the right “solution” for your specific niche!
Because rest assured, your target audience (specifically), jumped online to try and solve a major problem and or address a specific concern!
And once they do a little in depth research, (that’s where) your state of the art, content driven WordPress blogging efforts come into play,then they’ll decide on which source (and or) sources meets their needs best!
And purchase something!It’s the primary job of your well constructed sales funnel, that helps make that happen!So let’s quickly discuss the five “must have” components of a successful sales funnel shall we?
So What Are The Five Must Have Components To A Successful Sales Funnel?
Make no mistake about it, successful sales funnels come in many different forms, both on and offline.But typically, no matter what particular form they come in, they will usually have some basic components.
As is usually the case online. That’s “why” it is vitally important, that you (both) know and understand what the five “must have” basic components to a successful online sales funnel are.
And once you have them in place, then you can go about effectively and strategically “testing” and tweaking them for overall maximum efficiency.
An effective sales funnel is sort of like solving the puzzle in the (ever popular) “Wheel of Fortune” game show puzzle.You can have some or most of the correct parts in place, and still not have a completed puzzle/sales funnel.
And so it goes with successful online marketing, being close only counts in games like horseshoes. 😎 You’ll definitely need all five must have components in place and working correctly, in order to consistently see any bankable results!
1.) Basic sales funnel component # one: Right out of the gate (entrepreneur), you definitely need a domain name that you pay for!And your first preface should be one with a dot com extension. Because (like it or not), the vast majority of online browsers, still look for that extension first. And it’s still the most common and widely used.
So don’t buck that trend. Obviously, if a dot com extension is not readily available, you can resort to (either) a dot net and or dot info etc.But whenever possible, go for the dot com extension.
2.) Basic sales funnel component # two: My friend, when it comes to blogging, let your platform be a (mobile responsive) WordPress blog. And make sure it’s a self hosted one.
By self hosting, that just refers to the fact that you’re paying some third party web hosting company.Stay away from the free bloggin platforms, if you’re serious about trying to earn money!
The Sooner You Construct A Workable Sales Funnel The Sooner You’ll Be Able To Increase Web Sales!
3.) Basic sales funnel component # three: The other thing you need is your very own lead capture page and or your paid email service provider, to offer (what’s referred to as) a “light box.” This process darkens the entire screen, and compels your visitor to either join your list and or click the X to get the “light box” to disappear.
But the main difference between a (so called lead capture page) and your standard (inline) opt in form on your WordPress blog.Unlike one of the pages on your WordPress blog, the only purpose of your lead capture page is to generate a lead!
There are no other options/actions for your visitors to take!They can’t read a blog post or watch a video and or click to your “About” page etc.
4.) Basic sales funnel component # four: You definitely need some type of strategic social media marketing plan! Because, your potential customers and or clients are definitely active on the various social media platforms.(And will continue to be!)
And so are your current and future competitors! That’s “why” you definitely need a custom designed social media marketing plan, that plays to your strengths!
Just don’t attempt to be active on all of them at once!Instead, do your research to determine, which two are three your target audience is the most active on and get busy!
And if you’re still not sure “what” you need to be doing on daily basis, with regards to effective social media marketing. Hire a qualified expert of some kind!
5.) Basic sales funnel component #five: And last, but certainly not least.Entrepreneur, you definitely need a paid email service provider of some kind.
This way you can systematically follow up, over time, with what some refer to as an ongoing (sequential follow up email marketing) “drip” campaign.
Meaning: you keep sending periodic follow up email messages to your opt in subscribers, to help build and establish your credibility and to demonstrate your “problem solving” expertise to them over time.
And over time, the trust factor you establish, will translate into more and more, (larger and larger) sales and repeat sales and referrals etc!There you have it!No it’s not fancy, but it’s “what” your proven sales funnel definitely needs as a bare bones minimum!

This is a very good breakdown of how a good sales funnel should look. In my business (law) we struggle with the last component. This is something that we definitely need to improve and I thank you for shedding some light on it.
