So as you previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series, about “while” it’s definitely okay and highly recommended that you should have laser focus on (both) your short and long term goals.
By the same token, it can be potentially harmful to your long term profitability, if that (single minded) laser focus, crosses the line and develops into long term profit repelling tunnel vision, which is definitely not so good!Agreed?
Now that’s what you wanna avoid here;and it was the comment from a spammer, that I found in my spam messages, that was the true inspiration for this particular post series.
Because while he could appreciate the specific examples the marketing strategy and tactics demonstrated, they (unfortunately) were not able to see the overall marketing concepts!
And that can be the potential (long term) profit repelling affect of single minded tunnel vision! If for whatever reasons, you’re unable to totally connect the dots.
So in part two, we’re going to really dive deep and see what else this spammers comment can reveal, about the potential long term, profit repelling tunnel vision!
So What Are The Potential Long Term Profit Repelling Affects Of Developing Single Minded Tunnel Vision?
So just to (really) quickly recap here!A savvy (local) retail appliance dealer and a rather aggressive (local) Bingo parlor owner, decide to combine resources and temporarily form an unlikely strategic alliance.
The main reason being, the savvy retail appliance dealer is constantly on the lookout for some less inexpensive ways to develop some brand new first time customers and repeat customers!
Without constantly having to pay the outrageously expensive, traditional 400- 500% in order to originally discover or generate them!
And the flip side is, obviously the the local Bingo parlor owner(s) are just looking for some inexpensive ways of consistently getting more and more bingo lovers to their weekly games! 😎
So that as the back drop and the fact, the appliance dealer has some serious gross profit margins. The appliance dealer, because their long term “lifetime customer value” is easily somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,800 to $14,900 dollars!
Say over the course of seven to nine years! They’re more than willing to work out some sort of mutually beneficial arrangement with not only the local bingo parlor owners, but any other savvy local business owners/service providers as well!
Why Being A Savvy Entrepreneur Definitely Starts With Having The Right Mind Set First And Foremost!(Don’t You Agree?)
So remember what you discovered in the third installment about using (and or) strategically leveraging your excess inventory control issues, into a previously untapped, long term profit center.
The savvy appliance dealer had the bingo parlor owners start passing out these two sided flyers. And side “A” alerted the attendees that from that night going forward, (and for the next eight consecutive weeks), every person 18 & over, they bring with them to the weekly bingo game, they automatically get a $20 gas card!
And once they reach their fifth person, (which in essence) is the equivalent to a referral, they automatically get a $50 dollar gas card for each one going forward!
Follow this entrepreneur. And on side “B” in big bold red letters, they are directed to the appliance dealers mobile responsive WordPress blogs (market tested) lead capture page, so they can enter their “free drawing!”
For a chance to win a $2,500 dollar state of the art Home Entertainment System!To be announced live (just) eight short eights from the day they initially pass out the flyers!
Serious Entrepreneurs Definitely Consistently Invest In Mind Set Development Products And Services!
(With) I might add, a small but no less significant marketing caveat of course! 😎 In order to be eligible to be declared the legal “Grand Prize Winner!”
They have to at least brought/referred at least two people 18 & over with them to the games! Now for just a second, before we really dive deeper. Think about what’s actually going on here!
To begin with: long before the appliance dealer ever seriously thought about strategically aligning with the bingo parlor owner(s), the weekly bingo game, was already consistently drawing at least 100 or so people, give or take.
Now, every time the players bring a friend to the game, that’s over 18, they get a $20 dollar gas card! And as soon as they reach their fifth referral, they automatically get a $50 dollar gas card for their efforts, until the big day! 😎
Entrepreneur, do you agree, it’s a pretty safe bet, the weekly crowds will gradually start getting bigger & bigger? 😎 Because of these unannounced incentives!
Now then, here’s the other thing, unbeknownst ahead of time to the weekly bingo lovers. Starting the very next week, right before the bingo parlor owners shuts off the lights and all prizes for the night have been awarded etc.
Can Real Profit Seeking Entrepreneurs Really Afford To Develop Long Term Profit Repelling Tunnel Vision?
The owners will quickly get every bodies “attention” to make one final announcement!Before every body heads back to their immediate circle of influence! 😎
They will quickly confirm, “who” brought the most quest that evening? And whoever brought the most quests/referrals that are 18 & over.
The owners will quickly summon them to the front of the room and hand them a sealed envelope with a smiley face on it! 😎 And in it will be? (Drum roll please!) Two $50 dollar gift certificates! One is a $50 dollar gas card and the other is a $50 dollar gift certificate to one of the most popular local Supermarkets! 😎
You can bet they won’t reach the door before (practically) everyone in Hootersville knows what they got (and far more importantly) why!Agreed?Twitter and Facebook anyone? So “what’s” the underlying, (not so subtle) message there?Bingo!
You bring semi pre-qualified quest and you will be justly rewarded! And in the event of the occasional tie, both parties will get the exact same prize!
Now remember, during all of this, (on average) about 75% (or more) of those brand new first time attendees, are definitely going to enter the appliance dealers free drawing as well!
So they’re steadily building their double opt in email list! (Power list building 101 BTW!) And remember, it’s actually the savvy retail appliance dealers money that’s financing all of this positive word of mouth and mouse buzz!
Because you know “what” the main overriding topic of conversation will be on their way home! And once they get back to work and or back to their own businesses, correct? Every body will be be constantly texting, tweeting and posting to Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest etc!
(And that’s exactly what both the savvy appliance dealer and the bingo parlor owner(s) want!Correct?)
And close friends, colleagues and immediate family members will definitely want to tag along to next weeks game as well! Just so they can see what all this fuzz is about! 😎 Don’t you agree? And meanwhile the savvy appliance dealer is systematically building their double opt in email (and or) mobile marketing list, right under the radar of their major local competitors, for literally pennies on the dollar! 😎
There Are Definitely Some Long Term Advantages To Being An Entrepreneur That Routinely Thinks Outside The Box!(Don’t You Agree?)
And keep in mine, ( to this point), we still haven’t even revealed, the main money making strategy that was originally shared in the third installment of the series about, strategically converting inventory control issues, into a previously untapped profit center!
