Ladies & gentlemen, since you have every attention, (if not now), then (hopefully) somewhere in the not too distant future.

You definitely plan on building your very own, in house email, and or mobile marketing list of some kind, correct?

That’s really good to hear!

Because without doing so, your small business and or service, will definitely struggle to reach it’s full capacity!

Especially, if you are spending your hard earned dollars to drive traffic, to either your (static) sales page, and or WordPress blog.

If you’re paying for your traffic, then you better be simultaneously attempting to build your very own list as well.

First of all, whenever you sponsor some type of relevant contest for your specific target audience, you almost always increase the engagement level of your customers,clients and or patients!

So you’re almost, already on their good side,and that additional benefit, could just as easily be added to your list, could it not.

But officially, let’s take a look, at seven (bare bones) minimum reasons, why and how, you and or some of your top joint venture (JV) partners, should definitely be periodically sponsoring, some type of contest and or sweepstakes, in order to continuously grow your business and or service.

It definitely doesn’t matter “how” big or small your business and or service currently is, because your audience, definitely loves to participate in contests or sweepstakes, that are relevant to them!Don’t you agree?

1.) Potential benefit # one: Say you sponsor some type of periodic contest/sweepstakes of some kind, and guess what else, you just discovered, in order to continually attract your ideal customer,patient and or client etc.

My friend, you’ll know “what” type of future problem solving “how to” blog posts, to publish, will you not? You’d better believe it!And who knows, how many additional, extremely targeted keywords  you’ll discover as well!

Sponsoring Periodic Contests Directed At Your Small Business Audience Is Definitely A Good Thing!

2.) Potential benefit # two: Once your audience shares with you, which contest, sweepstakes and or free drawings, they prefer best. Then you’ll know exactly what to put on your flyers, will you not?

And you’ll know going in, exactly which particular benefits to stress on your flyers bullet points!

3.) Potential benefit # three: Next, if you should decide to go with an initial limited batch of direct (snail mail) postcards, you’ll already have a pretty good idea, of which bullet points to stress, and which ones to avoid altogether! Right?

That information alone, will potentially save you a ton of extremely limited marketing capital on wasted mailings! Let your major competitors, continue to spin their wheels, and go in that direction!

4.) Potential benefit # four: Once you’ve had any type of success, with (either) a popular sweepstakes, contest and or free drawing of some kind.

You’ll also have a pretty good idea of “what” your own flyers should say.Or, what the backside, (side B) of some of your top  joint venture partners flyers should say, in order to help you, (either) build your email/mobile marketing list, and or increase your gross front end sales margins as well!

    This is one thing I need to do. I haven’t ran a contest in years. I did one on Facebook to get people to enter, capture emails and bla bla bla….but it wasn’t focused on good buyers that were interested in my sales funnel.

    Now that my sales funnel is built up, a contest seems like a fun thing to do. All I have to do is come up with an idea. Oh boy…that is where I fail. But I know if I take your advice and work on it, something just might blossom.

  2. I totally get your points Mark, and there’s no question a good contest or sweepstake is a magnet for many people. My stumbling block has always been coming up with the ideas for contests, but I have a feeling that the real problem is me not the shortage of opportunities. I’m not one of those people who is attracted to contests, in fact, I don’t even go to sales (gasp!) or other events like that which is one reason I love having the option of shopping online. But back to the subject at hand. I’m thinking that it’s time to revisit this strategy to add a little spice to the marketing mix. Thanks for the motivation!
