You’d probably (readily) agree that there are more than enough stats of all kind-already- out there, right? Absolutely, however, as you probably noticed from part one of this ongoing series about these seven extremely critical stats, that all serious entrepreneurs and or small business owners/service providers (such as) yourself definitely need to know about.
Let’s face it, there are the sort of mindless (time filling) stats, that simply smoke out you brain and cause unnecessary stress in your life. And then there are most definitely the type of stats, that you need to (not only) be aware of, but you should probably pay close attention to them as well.
Because they can( more times than not ), either help you get to that very next level in your business growth and development, no matter “what” that particular level is or they can help you avoid some of the all too common pitfalls, that you most definitely need to avoid. Now granted, just being aware of this knowledge (strictly) on the surface level, is not nearly enough.
But if you’re actively engaged at some level, then certainly, (potentially) anyway, it makes far more sense in the long run, for you to at least be aware of some these rather eye opening stats. Take a look and see “how” they may be able to help you going forward…
So What Are These Seven Extremely Critical Stats That All Serious Entrepreneurs Definitely Need To Know About?
Word to the wise: just as you were forewarned previously. The fact that your eyeballs are actually reading (and or) more than likely, merely skimming this page, will not (and definitely) should not cause you to believe that somehow your business and or personal life is about to dramatically improve for the better.
For I can assure you, were that the case, (my friend) you would have most definitely paid mightily to be exposed to these evergreen words of wisdom! However, the fact that you are being made aware of these seven extremely critical stats, (if you’re) prudent and resourceful enough, that process- in and of itself- can and will-hopefully- help you to make some much better (and far more thoughtful) and better quality decisions, going forward.
That however, remains to be seen. But in the meantime, let’s have a look at this list and see if they measure up.
1.) Extremely critical stat # one: Now this first extremely critical stat, is rather revealing: according to a recent survey ( okay, who actually knows when they did it!) But according to Phillips Sonicare, 47% of the participants surveyed, said that your/our smile was the very first thing they noticed, when meeting someone new for the very first time!
Ever wonder “why” the hotel/motel (aka) hospitality business, makes it a point to have a friendly smiling face at the service desk, meeting/greeting and servicing the new business?
(And of course it doesn’t hurt business if the person (of either sex) is rather attractive!)
2.) Extremely critical stat # two: And get this; according to a recent survey conducted by none other than DigitalSherpa. The right type of “how to” instructional videos, has been known to increase -both- your current and potential customer/clients understanding of how to use (read that as) benefit from your products and or services, by as much as 74%!
Who says carefully crafted videos are a complete waste of time! (Hopefully, it was one of your major competitors, right?)
3.) Extremely critical stat # three: Now this next one is a bit eyeopening, (if you ask me!) According to one of the extremely well known gurus sales trainers! The average outside sales rep, has only read (at most), two sales books, thus far in their entire career! Say what?
If I may; let me try and put that last stat in context for you! How comfortable would you feel putting one of your loved ones medical outcome, in the hands of a Dr. that confessed to only having read (to date), two whole medical books in their entire career!
Yet, there are literally tons of sales reps hired every day, that are in that exact same situation. Which means, some of you are relying on them to consistently generate new business for you! Good luck!
Try To Use These Eyeopening Stats To Help Propel Your Business To the Next Level! (Not Weigh You Down And Keep You Hostage Where You Currently Are!)
4.) Extremely critical stat # four: Now this next one is pretty cool. Entrepreneur, did you know the average text message only takes about three minutes before it get’s opened? Think about some of your emails that has a date that’s more than a couple of days old! What usually happens to 99% of them, if they’re not opened within the first 72 hours of the original send date?
That’s right!
5.) Extremely critical stat # five: At last count; only (a mere) 70% of adults in the US, rely on their smart phones to browse online! Translated, is your site mobile friendly yet or not?
6.) Extremely critical stat # six: A mere 93% of consumers polled, said some form of social media influences their final decision to buy or not buy something!
Translated, (since) both your current and future potential customers and or clients and your major competitors are already using social media in some way, form or fashion! Can you realistically still afford to ignore it?
7.) Extremely critical stat # seven: And finally: a staggering 88% of consumers recently polled, said they prefer some sort of message, while on hold, (even if it’s just information about the company!), as opposed to dead silence!
7. A.) Extremely critical stat # seven A: And conversely, an eyeopening 55% of consumers say they are far more likely to simply abandon a business that temporarily puts them on hold and has dead silence! (They’ll even tolerate that horrific elevator type of music over dead silence!)
My friend, (I think) and hope that you will agree; these seven plus extremely critical stats, are simply a must for all serious entrepreneurs! To if nothing else, at least be aware of! What say you?

Hi Mark.
I agree that a smile can mean so much. However, I also agree with what Marquita said, as I think eye contact is far more important.
It was also interesting to read the statistics about being held on the telephone. I had never considered that before, but it does make perfect sense.
Thanks for sharing.
Nathan.

You are most welcome Nathan!
And both you and Marquita share an excellent point! Which I reveled, merely needs to be covered in yet another
installment of that subject!LOL!
Because for sure, when a person, especially a sales rep and or a potential authority figure
doesn’t want to make direct eye contact with you.
That can often be a subtle indirect potential red flag! That’s a really great point!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your extremely valuable thoughts!

Yea I can relate to each one of these points Mark. Now I will add my 2 cents on #1. No question a smile is important, but I’m going to say that it’s no less important than eye contact. I admit this is something of a hot button for me, but it stems from my years (and years!) working in hotels and dealing with front desk staff who smile – as they are staring at their computer screens – never actually looking at the guest trying to check in. Enough said.
