  1. I’m a big believer in the power of marketing. For the many years that I worked in sales and marketing, we all went by the standard that it took 7 impressions for a reader to connect with your ad. In today’s crazy world where we’re bombarded with ads and promotions from every direction I have to believe that number must be much (much!) higher. I know I’m not the only one who tends to turn a blind eye to most of the ads that pop up on my screen – unless I know the brand or there’s a really strong hook. Which is why your advice about pro-actively building and nurturing a list is so important. Excellent advice as always Mark!

      And I couldn’t agree more with your assessment, in today’a AAD world,
      you’ve have to be extremely lucky, and have major brand awareness, if
      you can connect with complete strangers, in just 7 unique tries!LOL!

      Traditional advertising in itself, is so outrageously expensive and
      fragmented, it’s almost impossible for your typical, resourced challenged
      small business owner and or service provider to make any bankable traction.

      You almost have no choice, but to develop some reliable marketing and or promotional
      alternatives asap!
