Sales Techniques: How To Increase Your Sales Without Being Pushy!

Have you ever gone to any type of retail establishment and felt like the sales staff was kinda of pushy? Don’t you just hate that?

It really kills your buying mood, doesn’t it? On the other hand, could you stand to discover the type of proven sales techniques that increase your overall income, especially if you don’t have to pushy.

This post will  offer some viable proven food for thought. Because remember, especially if you have in house or outside sales reps, they don’t have to try and annoy prospects into spending money.

Why Not Use The Type Of Proven Sales Techniques That Don’t Require Your Sales Staff To Be Pushy!

(In Order To Be Effective!)

This first proven strategy, that will definitely increase your overall sales revenue, was originally revealed from one of the many surveys conducted by a top retail association. Get a load of this, Through several test (beta) retailers if you will, they rightfully concluded that a percentage of retailers (of all kind and sizes by the way), that merely (are you ready for this?) physically increased the size of their hand held shopping carts, they increased their overall sales revenue!

Without necessarily having to get more physical customers. Now granted, your first gut kneed reaction probably is, yea but how much did they have to spend in order to buy all new (larger) hand held plastic shopping carts?

Fair enough; however, the point of sharing that little tidbit was merely to show you how savvy retailers strategically go about increasing their sales, in ways that may not ordinarily occur to you/us.

And on the off chance that’s it’s still not crystal clear, exactly how did these slightly enlarged hand held shopping carts increase their overall revenues? It was because shoppers systematically added more items to their carts! It’s sort of the same exact phenomenon, that takes place whenever you get any money back from the IRS!

What do 99% of us do with that unexpected money? You got that right. But now let’s turn your attention to (hopefully) a more practical example of  strategically utilizing   proven sales techniques.

In this case, let’s see “how” a restaurant owner (possibly you) might use the “added value” sales technique to strategically increase your income. Let’s face it, there’s no shortage of quality family style restaurants to dine at,right? So with an immense amount of available price competitive competition, let’s see what using the “added value” approach can or could potentially do for your bottom line.(And increase all important repeat customer loyalty.)

In order to be a savvy marketer, why not inexpensively test, by advertising/marketing that any two adults over 18 that come to your restaurants (on) starting off  with your traditionally slowest days, any three kids ages twelve and under, eat what they weigh!

Just to be clear; let’s suppose one of your own twelve year old’s is a rather stout 130 LBS! That means he or she only cost you a dollar thirty cents! Now they can only get that special rate for any three kids twelve and under.

Would that not be a price incentive based value buster for any cash strapped growing family to seriously consider? Especially during a nagging recession? You got that right!
