Sales And Promotion: How Savvy Entrepreneurs Create Avalanches Of Publicity!Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series, not all sales and  promotion strategies are created equal,don’t you agree?

In fact, some of the more outrageously expensive, conventional advertising tactics, while they may  temporarily get your companies name in front of a set of eyeballs, once your ad dollars stop,  (unfortunately) so do your campaigns!

And even though your PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaign only costs your account whenever a visitor    clicks on your ads link, once you stop running the ad(s) for whatever reasons, you no longer generate  any  type of “benefits” from it!Do you?

Now sharply contrast that approach, to using the “battlefield tested” , positive word of mouth and  mouse  generating strategies that were laid out in part one.

You can easily see “how” days and even weeks after the initial advertising/marketing campaign officially ended, the savvy business owner entrepreneur (will in all) likelihood, still be generating some extremely profitable long term (positive word of mouth and mouse buzz, correct?)

Especially from some of the exuberant pictures and or short videos that were enthusiastically posted to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and of course,every time those ladies come to work, talk to a relative, (and or attend any type of social events) wearing, (more like) flashing their new acquired (don’t hate cause I’m all that!)  bling! 😎 

Sales And Promotion:How Savvy Entrepreneurs Create Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse For Literally Pennies On The Dollar!(And “How” You Can Too!)

Now as previously mentioned in part one, this (extremely savvy) local jeweler that typically spends anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000 dollars per month or more, on the all too typical traditional type of advertising mediums, such as outrageously expensive local TV, radio and or newspaper ads etc!

Or on one sided, one page inserts in local throwaway guides etc.So needless to say, they spend more than their share of greenbacks, desperately trying to entice brand new first time customers, correct?Absolutely!

But in these particular examples, I’m advocating they set up some portable (card tables and folding chairs) out front (but off to the side) in front of several commercial office buildings, that’s currently home to seven to twenty floors of primarily female city, county and or state workers! 😎

And the jeweler will purchase (initially) about 25 five foot Teddy bears! And they will also purchase over 300 boxes of some of the best market tested gourmet chocolates!

And they will also be (get this!), giving away (initially) at least 25 pairs of (eye catching) women’s diamond studded earrings, that would normally retail for $300 dollars a pair!

And at least ten women’s diamond necklaces, that would normally retail for $500 dollars each!And remember, the first 25 women that work in the building, that come over to the booths to inquire about “what’s going on?

They will initially be the ones to get some of the best (positive) word of mouth free  and or extremely low cost goodies!Because stop and think about it!They go out for lunch and or a quick smoke break, or just to stretch their legs etc.

And when they come back inside and head to their respective floors and or work areas etc!All ecstatic!Entrepreneur, you must realize that as soon as they got the box of gourmet chocolate, the five foot Teddy bear and one pair of $300 dollar, (simply to die for) women’s diamond studded earrings!

They already, (either) texted and or directly called about a gazillion other women still inside the building, frantically advising them to get out here asap!Right?Of course!

Consistently Generating Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse Is Easy When You’ve Got The Right Tools!

They won’t even be a half foot off the elevator, before a mob of (no offense ladies), office gossip Queens will be there to greet them, in order to get the 411!

And jump on the elevator heading outside to get the real skinny!Now as the second and third wave of frantic, (I’m here to get mine too) female state workers arrive on the scene!If, by now the jeweler’s reps haven’t been asked to move on, by the building maintenance and or on site building superintendent! 😎

Some of those late to the initial party lady, (office gossip Queens) will still be given some really cool free stuff like, a two sided card to call a special number and extension to a local florist, and arrange to get a dozen roses and gourmet box of chocolates and their very own five foot teddy bear , delivered to the office, for their birthday, Mothers Day (if it applies), Valentines Day and or secretaries day etc!

However, before we depart, let me (at least attempt) to answer and address, some of the all too common questions swimming around (non stop) in your head!

Thank Goodness Some Of The Best Small Business Marketing Strategies Simply Aren’t That Complicated!

First and foremost, (for whatever reasons), you simply cannot get past the fact that I’m actually advocating that the extremely savvy, local jeweler (and or extremely marketing savvy company X), actually (initially) give away 25 five five foot Teddy Bears, 25 diamond studded women’s  earrings and 25 boxes of gourmet chocolates, to the first twenty five ladies that inquire what’s going on, and “why” have they temporarily set up portable stands outside the building!

Exactly! And you’re thinking, “Mark” give them away, as opposed to selling them at cost!Right! Now here’s the method by behind the initial madness! 

Let’s quickly contrast this “battlefield tested” approach, to a proven  (online) marketing approach,that some of the most popular and incredibly successful eight figure a year earners do!

They offer documented case studies, where they show “how” they’ve skillfully driven about 16,003  (or more) paid clicks (online traffic) via PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaigns to some of their best market tested lead capture pages!

And then they show proof, (which is always important), as to “how” (an impressive) 4,777  ( X %) of those paid clicks, actually joined their opt in email list!Which equates to a rather impressive (overall ) opt in rate of 29% (477/1,603 = a .29% opt in rate.)

Now keep in mine, they are simultaneously running /testing anywhere from ten to twenty separate PPC ad campaigns (or more) at any one given time!

My main point being this, they paid so much per click, just to drive 1,603 visitors to one of their best market tested lead capture pages. And (while) an impressive 29% choice to opt in, (entrepreneur) that still means a staggering .71% of those paid clicks chose not to!

And gang, just in case it’s not crystal clear yet!Those clicks that didn’t join their list, still cost the advertiser some real money!

And they will continue to cost them money, month after month!Whether their overall conversions rates go up, down and or remain the same!And the last time I checked, a total $100,000 dollar a month, in paid PPC ad campaign alone, still equates to a whopping $1.2 million dollars a year! 😎

And before any of you accuse me of providing purely theoretical “pie in the sky” numbers, merely to make a point! Ever hear of Internet marketing training legend Vince Reed?)
