Marketing Leverage: What Savvy Marketers Can Learn From The Banking Industry!

Ever watch the nature channel?Ever notice “how” the hyenas go about strategically hunting?  They use some serious marketing leverage.Case in point, a pride of lions go out (sometimes)  in the beaming hot sun, and hunt various forms of extremely yummy prey!

And once they do, (and BTW), just in case you didn’t know or weren’t aware, a pride of lions is  actually the females!

And an alpha male lion, he (basically) offers the ladies protection, from some of the other  nomad male lions out and about,in exchange for some type of favors in the bedroom, if you know  what I’m saying! 😎

Anyway, after the fresh kill, that the lady lions have successfully orchestrated.The alpha male lion along with the baby cubs and finally the lady lions, all settle down to enjoy that days meal!

So “what” the heck if anything, does that have to do with marketing leverage and “how” and  what extremely savvy marketers (such as yourself), can and definitely should learn from the  banking industry?

So glad you asked, and the so called connection may not be as far fetched as you might initially think!

 So What Extremely Valuable Marketing Leverage Lesson Can Savvy Entrepreneurs Learn From The Banking Industry?

So right about now, you’re politely wondering “what” extremely valuable marketing leverage lesson can and should be learned, from the banking industry,correct?

Of course, you’re even more intrigued, with the “so called” connection between hyenas hunting and a pride of lions!Is that not interesting?Here’s where and “how” we connect the dots.You see, the extremely savvy hyenas, just follow the food trail!Huh?

Meaning; they merely leverage the extremely hard working pride of lions efforts!

They know and understand, when the pride (the females) are on the move, especially in hot sun,that means there’s surely a future meal at some point, just around the corner!Now of course, they have to wait their turn in the smoldering desert sun! Because they’re not about to try and take on some hungry lions, over a meal!

Now then, by the very same token!Here are you and I, (not exactly) highly influential marketers/bloggers just yet!Correct?

But guess what? We follow the major influencers, in various niches, right?Job one, head over to one of the highly influential bloggers blog, like my Coach and Mentor Adrienne Smith! Of course the same holds true for some of my other highly influential Coaches like Donna Merrill, of DonnaMerrilltribe.com.

Or Carol Amato, of CarolAmato.com  fame. The point is, they’ve already done the really hard work of creating content that attracts our specific audience in droves!

Now all we have to do, is to strategically look for additional, albeit not as popular long tail keywords and or keyword phrases, based around their market tested content and create some extremely helpful, original targeted content of our own!

They’ve already established these main keywords  and or long tail keyword phrases are extremely viable!Just like the savvy hyenas recognize, the lions don’t just aimlessly roam the hot desert for nothing! 😎 When they start moving in packs, rest assured, there’s a potential meal not far off!

There Are Many Forms Of Potentially Profitable Marketing Leverage Don’t You Agree?

So what you and I do now, is a little strategic keyword research, and quickly discover “which” subjects they’ve covered that’s getting a ton of comments!(Of course in Adrienne’s case, that means even more than usual! 😎 )

Anyway, you look at and for any less obvious keywords and or long tail keyword phrases. Then maybe you rely on a paid keyword research tool like Market Samurai to help you out.!

Okay, you begrudgingly concede my rather loose comparisons between the hunting hyenas and the pride of lions, but you’re still wondering out loud, “how” or “what” in the world  any of this has to do with the banking industry,right?I thought you’d never ask!

See,way back in the last century, when the fast food industry came out with a revolutionary breakthrough concept, called “Drive Thru” service!

The extremely savvy banking industry (just like the hyenas), they didn’t try to reinvent the wheel,did they?No way! They used good old (tried and true) marketing leverage!

And they adapted the concept and readily applied it to their industry as well! Now it’s considered common practice in both industries!Right?And so it goes with you and I entrepreneur, there’s a reason the men & women in our industries are established leaders!

Why not stop trying to be so original with your targeted content, and instead use (tried and true) marketing leverage, by simply watching the pros (leaders) within and outside of our respective industries, and go after the lesser searched keywords and or long tail keyword phrases, their initial research has already proven is extremely viable!Don’t you agree?

    You always come up with the most interesting analogies my friend. I don’t watch the nature channel but I’ve always found how animals hunt and live interesting. Love how you pulled this altogether.

    I also appreciate you mentioning me here so thank you for that. I know that this process takes time and we all can get to where we want to be and achieve great success with hard work and consistency. Just like those lions hunting their prey. If they gave up they’d starve and it can be the same thing for us if we’re building a business right!

      I really like your point about,if the lion’s and or any particular wildlife for that matter,
