Entrepreneur are you familiar with any of the totally excellent hard cover computer “how to” guides written by Maran graphics? They have an excellent series entitled “Computers Simplified.” And this family originally located I believe out of Canada, but don’t quote me!
They are (or they were) a family run business, that teaches struggling newbies, the ins & outs of computers. Very similar to ‘The Video Professor” and the ‘Dummies” series.
And of course, as you scratch your head, you’re wondering, what their supposedly well written educational books have to do with how to market your business, products and or services? Fair enough. You see, way back in my completely clueless days about PC’s and the like.
I (thank goodness) stumbled across one of their extremely well written books in their ongoing series, and after studying it, finally began to have a semi co-coherent conversation with my far more versed computer literate friends and family members etc.
The covers of their books typically said that they had sold ten million copies of the ongoing series! And to date, they’ve sold a ton in their series! So that got me to thinking… Strictly from a marketing hypothetical stand point mind you!

The fact they typically sell ten million copies on any given subject, really got the old marketing wheels turning.Now let’s be clear! The fact that this incredibly successful publishing family is already crushing it! They don’t need any so called marketing feedback from yours truly!
But I’ll tell you my real motivation for going down this entirely hypothetical marketing example. Way, way back when I first started trying to learn the basics of Internet marketing and building old school static websites etc.
Like (probably) a ton of you! I too downloaded a bunch of worthless free ebooks, wasted my time watching webinars and also blew a fortune on a ton of let’s just say, not as helpful courses, as I’d have liked them to be.(That’s putting it mildly!)
As I continued my educational journey, I eventually discovered some of the more conventional (and extremely popular) website building and how to computer courses, like “The Video Professor and the ever popular “Dummies” series etc.
But here’s where I and I’ll bet the vast majority of you reading this occasionally stumbled too.
You read a passage, and even though they supply pictures (graphics), or in the case of the video professor series, you’re watching a video, you can’t quite perform the task the way it’s being presented. Ever been there? Now your either slightly and or extremely frustrated!

What if near the end of the book, Maran Graphics were to start strategically testing a one page sales letter, promoting a paid monthly membership, where any reader could pay just (some extremely low) monthly rate of just $9.95 per month or X.
And you join this forum, where you get to interact and ask any and all questions about the topics they cover in any of their previously published books.
Hold on, you’re thinking why in the world would anybody pay for information they can definitely get in your typical free FB group of some kind! Here’s why! Maran Graphics will also outsource some really sharp, recent college graduates and current grad students, that majored in computer science and or WordPress etc.
In other words, these men & women are extremely sharp and computer savvy. And for just $40 dollars per hour, any membership site enrollee can hire them for one on one personalized consulting!(Where these student experts do actual screen sharing type of personalized one on one power consulting!)
Otherwise, if you’re not a current paid membership site member, you pay the standard hourly retail consulting rate of $120 dollars per hour! If you’re thinking, it’s probably best to bite the bullet and pay the $9.95 per month! Guess what? Maran Graphics marketing department whole heartily agrees with you!

But here’s part B of their (hypothetical) marketing funnel. Each member pays just $40 dollars per hour for one on one screen sharing type of individualized personal one on one consulting. Maran Graphics pockets $10 dollars per hour per each consultant, that they’re outsourcing for $30 dollars per hour!
And since a staggering 95% of these extremely well educated college students were (at some point) or currently, temporarily out of work!
And let’s face it, the vast majority of them are not yet that entrepreneurial! Maran Graphics can immediately put these students newly acquired skills to use!
Plus, they will also certify that every student consultant, must be be well versed and certified in that particular topic that Maran Graphics teaching in that particular text!
So at $30 dollars per hour, now the students can do just five one on one hourly consulting sessions per day. And they’ll still gross $150 dollars per day! Or $750 per week, for part time work!( $30 dollars PH x just 5 hours per day x 5 days per week = $750 gross per week!)
Everybody wins! Don’t you agree? The college students can still look for a (so called) real job, but earn a nice income while they look! And gain some real satisfaction of helping people!Maran Graphics has a serious potential back end income stream going, right?
The paid membership member can now really get the much needed hands on, one on one expertise they really need! And hopefully Maran Graphics will offer yours truly 20% of their new gross, for turning them on to this idea! Sounds reasonable to me! What say you?
