Say for example. You decide to finally open, very own nail or hair salon. You pick out a really nice location, you’re pretty sure you’ll be able to afford. Of course, the moment you place your shingle out.You’ll generate a few initial customers.Right?
And if you’re as smart as everyone seems to think you are.You’ll make darn sure all of your closest girlfriends, neighbors, current and past co-workers. And all of your local Facebook friends and relatives, and brothers spouses, girlfriends or live in significant others are aware, you opened your nail salon.Right? Absolutely.
And at least a percentage of those previously named, will definitely convert (over time of course), into some reliable, long term repeat customers, right? But going forward, since you definitely have no formalized plans, to traditionally advertise your service, right?
What are you going to do. To make darn sure you not only keep, those new first time customers, constantly coming through the door.But you’re steadily leveraging, the long term, back end of your sales funnel, so it’s constantly working over time for you too?
Thank Goodness You Really Don’t Need A Huge Advertising Or Promotional Budget To Start And Keep Generating Some Bankable Marketing Leverage!
Stop and think about, a ton of you or your major competitors, untapped marketing possibilities.Which definitely don’t cost a ton of money. To initially start or maintain.
Since your main customer base, is primarily made up of local women, correct? And let’s face it. The ladies love to constantly visit with one another. Do they not? Absolutely.
Which means, whether they periodically get together, via frequent phone calls, text message(s), video or in person etc. They’ll be sharing what’s new in their lives right?
So why not strategically target, other local women,whether they be professional women or not. Because these women, who will be you or your major competitors bridge, into the personal and professional inner circles of your target groups.
They are definitely worth ethically bribing. Don’t you agree?
Just Because You’re Not Officially A Part Of Your Target Groups Inner Circle just Yet! (Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Or Won’t Become A Part Of It!)
So stop and consider, this low hanging fruit marketing strategy. Every day in your city or small, sleepy little town. Local women, from all walks of life mind you. They either:
1.) Walk in off the street, with no prior appointment.Right? You betcha.
2.) Or they call ahead to schedule an appointment, to see their local hair dresser, right? No doubt.Which means, depending on how many chairs, (the hair stylist), have paid booths in each hair salon. Times the number of local women they beautify each week. Times at least 51 weeks per year.
Times the number of hair salons, they establish this particular JV (Joint Venture) or cross promotion arrangement with.You’re potentially talking about a lot of money.Don’t you agree?
You can have a much closer look at the potentially lucrative numbers, in just a second, okay? But for now, stop and seriously consider, your marketing intentions.
Why in the world, is your nail or hair salon, seriously looking to partner up,(JV) with all or at least several of the most reputable, local hair salon owners and their female hair stylist?
Nothing Travels Faster Than Some Good Ole Fashion Positive Word Of Mouth Or Mouse Buzz! (Don’t You Agree?)
Because they service on a daily basis, you’re ideal, female prospects.Do they not? Bingo. So the very first thing you need to do. Is successfully negotiate. For you to do, the owner(s) and all of their staffs nails, for free the very first time. Which is definitely an X dollar value,is it not? Absolutely. Why frre or at your actual hard cost, you so skeptically ask?
Because at some point. Rest assured. The topic of conversation will be or become. “Where did they get their awesome looking nails done?” And “how” much did they pay And where can the person asking, get their nails done too? Hello.
In which case. Both the owner(s) of the hair salon and all of their current and future hair stylist. They will get their nails done free or at your initial hard cost, the very first time.
And when they need them periodically touched up. You’ll do them at your actual hard cost. Or just above your hard cost. Because your long term thinking, and your long term marketing plan is is.
As long as these ladies nails are looking and felling extremely good. Other local women, who constantly come in contact with them. Will want to get their nails done.Especially, now that their hair is done.Right?
