In terms of comparing the costs. You and or your major competitors run potentially expensive on or offline ads, correct? And regardless of their actual outcome.
The money comes out of your ad/promotional and or marketing budget, right? And these variable costs do quickly add up, do they not? On the other hand.
Whatever you’re currently paying your customer service reps. Think about how much and how often they add to your overall bottom line. Every time they offer your callers a market tested upsell/add on sell offer. And it’s accepted! 
Your prospect and or customer is already on the phone, correct? No need to pay a top notch telemarketer. No matter how skilled they are BTW!
To make a certain amount of calls. Before they finally actually speak to someone. And then so many more. Before they finally make the 1st sale.
Having A Highly Skilled Customer Service Team Available To Assist Both Your Hottest Prospects And Or Customers! (Makes A Huge Difference To Your Bottom Line!
Just by your skilled/professionally trained customer service reps. Strategically suggesting an additional product and or service. Which compliments what your customer has just invested in.
Look of the ongoing promotional costs they’ve consistently saved you. And or your major competitors. Being able to actually speak with a real person. (And not a bot! 
Dramatically helps improve your long term customer retention rates. By at least 20% or more. Entrepreneur, a 20% increase in your overall productivity is huge!
Customer loyalty dramatically builds your overall brand. Plus it almost guarantees repeat business.
And when you throw in X amount of consistent referrals! Plus the positive word of mouth and mouse factor! It quickly becomes obvious how much front end expenses your professionally trained customer service reps constantly save you!
They often “save” potential lost sales! They encourage and nurture additional purchases. And help generate positive reviews etc.
