How To Promote Your Business On An Extremely Tight Budget!Part Four

As you previously discovered in part three of this ongoing series about “how to promote your business” on an extremely tight budget! Once you actually bother to pro-actively look under the proverbial hood of opportunity, more times than not, there really are tons of potentially creative ways of effectively getting the word out!

Would you not agree? And just because you may not readily have access to a traditional fortune 500 type of advertising budget! That doesn’t mean with just a little “think outside the box” marketing creativity, you still can’t make a go of it! Right?

You’d better believe you can! Case in point; let’s take an even closer look as to “how” a hypothetical (local) upscale beer, wine (and or some rare occasions) high end champagne distributor, strategically goes about building an incredibly large fiercely loyal customer base!

Especially when they simply don’t have massive amounts of corporate money and credit to (waste!) make that spend on the outrageously expensive, traditional advertising/marketing methods!

Let’s see “what” overall direction their creative marketing juices ultimately lead them in!

“How To” Promote Your Business, Product And Or Service On An Extremely Tight Budget!

(Just Like The Ultimate Insiders Do!)

Now remember, if this was a  product being rolled out (nationwide) by a major fortune 500 company (and or) one of their major subsidiaries, then it would be no problem to flood both the national television and radio airwaves, and national magazines with (really over the top), glitzy ad campaigns etc!

But it’s not! This is just (another prime example) of some hard driving entrepreneurial men & women, that have decided t follow their passions and dreams!

And “what” if anything they may lack in readily available cash, they’ll more than compensate for it with shear determination, hustle, tenacity and (drop dead killer) “take no prisoners under any circumstances” , type of customer service approach to business!

Along with a few well placed (strategic alliances) (aka) joint ventures with some other (local) non competing small business owners and or service providers!

So here’s two of the very first local industries they will approach about helping them build their customer base. Since it stands to reason that people that love their leisure time, also tend to love really good tasting premium beers, wines and champagnes etc!

They’ll approach (or better yet!) have a mutually respected friend personally introduce them to a few reputable (in ground) pool installers and Jacuzzi builders!

Isn’t It Amazing How With Just A Few Minor Tweaks Most Battlefield Tested Marketing Strategies And Tactics Are Applicable To Practically Any Business, Product And Or Service?

(Don’t You Agree?)

First they’ll offer the owners of both businesses, totally free samples of all their premium beers, wines, wine coolers and of course their top in champagnes as well!

And once they get the owners on board. And strategically convert them into extremely positive -local- on and offline positive word of mouth and mouse advocates!

Then they’ll graciously offer to supply (say) maybe $1,000 dollars worth (or X dollar amount), at both companies next open house events, where they each show case their latest models!

That way the beer distributor can get rather inexpensive marketing exposure to each companies loyal (and ever growing) customer bases!

And if by chase, the two of them aren’t already strategically cross promoting each others (totally) excellent products and services to each other’s respected customer bases yet!

Of course this extremely savvy beer, wine distributor will suggest they start doing so asap!

Plus, going forward, any time either owner gives (either) an outdoor pool party/barbecue, the beer distributor will (again) only be too  happy to supply the ice cold ones to help wash down those mouth watering ribs! 😎 Or if they move in doors and they give a house party of some kind!

The beer distributor will be more than happy to supply both the upscale wines and or champagne to all the upper income and locally influential guests! In fact, they’ll gladly cater the entire event if need be!

Entrepreneur, are you starting to smell (both) the short and long term potential money making opportunities here?Say yes! Because in part five we’ll delve even deeper!

  1. Mark you make a good case. Joint ventures are a good way to get your name out there and engage with a new audience.

And one of the good things about it is you’re typically touching a good number of people at one time, not just a few.

  2. This is a useful post. However, can you give me some easy tips on how to market my services as a freelance writer on a shoe-string budge? Is it viable to work with guys on fiverr who promise to grow traffic with just $5?

    • Thank you for your kind words Pankaj.

Since I have not yet used anyone over at fiverr for such a service, I’m not in
the position to comment on it accurately.

However, are you currently aware that a staggering 30-60% of the small business owners
and or service providers, that currently pay a monthly fee for a paid autoresponder
      service of some kind.

They have yet to send even a single follow up email message to their subscribers!

Translated:they desperately need your expert writing skills in this particular niche
      specialty area of freelance writing.

And most of your major competitors are completely overlooking this virtual untapped potential niche!

So why not start inexpensively testing the following paid classified type of ad.

Need expert help writing your follow up email messages to your subscriber list?

Professional freelance writer that specializes in writing strategic follows up email messages
to your opt in subscribers will write both your follow up messages and the occasional
      blog post too!

All you supply is the general concept for each message and I will do the rest!

      Serious inquire-es only!Contact Pankaj@ blank!

And you offer (price test) two different prices for this in demand niche service.

If they just want you to either write their blog post or just write their email follow
up sequences, you charge them X.

But if they want you to do both, you charge a little less than X! Say 25% lees if they
      want yo to do both!

And start marketing your services this way through the back door, and let major competitors
bid against each other, by trying to simply get the traditional freelance work!

And there’s some others things you could and should obviously test as well!

But that’s a slightly creative way for you to start! And just leave some room to negotiate!

I hope this helps further stimulate your creative thinking somewhat Pankaj!

Thanks so much for stopping by and posting your comment and posing
      your question!
