Hopefully (by now) you’ve come to understand and fully appreciate, that it’s totally okay to think way outside the box right? Face it, you’re an entrepreneur, that’s to be expected! Right?
There is absolutely nothing normal and or typical about the way you systematically go about doing things! So don’t fight it, instead go with it already. It’s simply a part of your entrepreneurial DNA (if you will!)
Most people zig, but you prefer to zag. Or when they see gloom and doom, you more times than not, see potential, previously untapped marketing opportunities and or possibilities.(And you definitely should.)
That my friend, is truly a gift. You are so dealing with something that can potentially be so positive and truly inspiring. But you gotta get comfortable with your own skin and potential.
Stop talking yourself out of so many possibilities and instead, start talking yourself into a few.
And give your innate abilities the chance (they so desperately) want and desire, to blossom, in order for you to finally succeed. It’s no secret, that every sense you were a young kid, you’ve had this uncanny ability to see (imagine) what lies just ahead.
But because, you’ve constantly been surrounded by and deeply influenced by so many that can’t! You’ve slowly allowed yourself to slip back into their dominant (self limiting) mindsets, instead of developing and running (extremely fast) with your own!(Deep down inside you know it’s true.)
So the (real) purpose of this post is to re-introduce you to the seven extremely critical traits of a highly successful entrepreneur!… And hopefully, this list won’t and shouldn’t look to foreign to you!Have a look and you decide. Fair enough?
So What Are These Seven Extremely Critical Traits Of A Successful Entrepreneur?
And remember, these seven extremely critical traits have (absolutely) nothing to do with, whether or not, you come from a long line of semi or super successful entrepreneurs! Or whether or not, anyone in your family was ever an aspiring entrepreneur of any kind!
And it’s also crucial to note, that just because you may have the occasional creative blast of inspiration, every now and again! That doesn’t necessarily (and or) automatically mean that you’re cut out to be a full fledged entrepreneur.
And also it’s equally critically important that you not get too caught up in this particular (and or) any such list. Because whether you possess all seven traits.
Or only one or two or none of these seven extremely critical traits! That doesn’t automatically mean you’re not an entrepreneur, or that you don’t currently have exactly what it takes to make your long range entrepreneurial dreams come true!
1.) Extremely critical trait # one: First and (freaking) foremost. You just have this “junk yard dog” type of, “failure is simply not an option”, type of mentality going for you! (Which is crucial, to your chances for lasting, long term success.)
And no matter “how” many times you start and temporarily fail, face temporary set backs and derail!(Which we all definitely have!)
You still get back on track asap and keep on fighting the good fight!
Until you’re standing in the winners circle! Good for you! Because as a direct result, you’ve affected countless lives (in a good way!), simply by refusing to accept temporary defeat!
Of Course It Takes Tim And Some Real Determination To Develop And Sustain A take No Prisoners Attitude!
2.) Extremely critical trait # two: For the most part! You’re not employable (not in the traditional sense anyway!) long term! Because, like it or not, you simply feel more comfortable, marching to the beat of a different drummer and band! (As well you should.)
3.) Extremely critical trait # three: Structured and formal education (like traditional colleges and or universities), just didn’t and don’t sit well with you! You do your best learning on the job! And being extremely pro-active.
But more than likely, after you’ve made and have a fair sum of money, you’ll send your kids off to one of those fancy elite schools, you came to hate! (Ironic, right?)
4.) Extremely critical trait # four: You and the (so called) status quo, constantly butt heads! You just have to question things incessantly, don’t you? (I definitely hear you there. Me too!)
Admit It! You Love Being Viewed As On The Fringe Don’t You?
5.) Extremely critical trait # five: You’re really kind of doggedly opinionated and borderline stubborn aren’t you? Yea, that’s one of the main reasons you and your immediate supervisors and or the owners, never did quite jell, did you? (I definitely feel you there too!)
6.) Extremely critical trait # six: You never have (and never will), see the so called impossible as that! Instead, you merely see it as simply not being done yet! And hey, if you didn’t secretly harbor that particular mindset, things would have taken so much longer to change, wouldn’t they?
7.) Extremely critical trait # seven: Admit it already! You’re just a bit out there! But hey, you love to surround yourself with like minded individuals!
And you can easily spot them, (the other visionaries) out of practically any crowd!
Oh you’ve got some gifts, that’s for sure! But in the end, what you really have in spades, is simply a “can do” mindset! And then some! Oh yes my -constantly thinking outside the box- friend, without a doubt, you are an entrepreneur! What say you?
You Don’t Have To Automatically Settle For Just A Bite Of The Apple!

Mark,
I’m nodding my head and laughing at myself all the way though.
I fight like hell not to get off track. Each bump on the road, is just part of the journey and am too stubborn to stop.
I am so not employable he he he and also didn’t finish college. It just made me crazy because I felt like I was floundering when I was already making money myself. Why the heck did I need those letters after my name? Ha…I can make more money with out them.
Number 7 is the best! Yes, I’m “out there” and find people that are on the same mindset.
Great post! You really hit the personality of a true entrepreneur.

I love your assessment analysis Donna!
And BTW, please excuse my rather long delay in responding to your comment, but my
site had some severe techie issues this week!
And my tech expert finally got things worked out, thank goodness!LOL!
But yes, being an entrepreneur, is definitely part of a rare breed! And while our college, may not as
formal, in the traditional sense of a classroom with books.
Nonetheless, we are in school in the real world every single day!LOL! And if we don’t graduate
we go out of business!LOL! Or struggle mightily!
Thanks for stopping by and for your extremely kind words! Both are greatly appreciated!

So I’m sitting here laughing and nodding my head as I check off each of your traits … yep, oh definitely, no doubt about it! At this stage of the game I especially relate to trait #2. Almost in spite of myself I managed to have a successful career in corporate America for years, but at this point there’s no going back. They’d have to drag me kicking and screaming before I’d ever tie myself to a desk again! Great article Mark. 🙂

But thank goodness, my tech expert was finally able to clear it up and things for the most part
are finally back to normal!LOL!
I don’t know how those techie types do this stuff, without going nuts!LOL! Anyway, thanks so
much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts!
I truly appreciate both!
