Hopefully by now, it’s becoming rather obvious that real opportunity is never farther than a few creative marketing tweaks away,correct?
Because as you previously discovered in part’s one & two of this ongoing series, about (either) creating and or seizing previously untapped opportunity.
Unfortunately far too many otherwise extremely hard working, (not to mention) incredibly savvy entrepreneurs, often run right past real potential opportunities, in search of the “holy grail” of the (so called) mother lode of potential marketing opportunities.
And (sadly), rarely if ever find them.(But waste a whole lot of money and other extremely valuable resources attempting to do so! 😎 )
On the other hand, by seizing and strategically capitalizing on “what’s” actually available to them, right now! They might have the potential to really scale their (otherwise), previously overlook and untapped marketing opportunities and or possibilities.
So How Do Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Consistently Go About Seizing Previously Untapped Opportunity They Initially Failed To Recognize As Such?
As you recall in part one, a previously frustrated (to no end), CEO of a struggling Travel Agency, had a brainchild (creative ninja marketing moment), when his college bound daughter, approached (he & his wife) about co-signing for one of her very first major credit cards.
And when the father discovered the daughter had received the solicitation, as an insert inside of a subscription to one of the (wildly popular) glamour magazines, (that girls) his teenage daughters age, are absolutely crazy about!
Especially when Mom & dad are actually the one’s paying for the magazine prescription to begin with! 😎 He got the brainchild marketing idea of “why” not attempt to do the same thing by approaching various (reputable) credit card companies about including his companies travel brochure inside of their outgoing mail to the credit card companies paying customers.
And revenue share a certain percentage of that initial front end gross profit!
Well, the short of that brainstorm (light bulb moment) was, within ten short months of aggressively and strategically marketing their business, using this one particular, “battlefield tested” marketing strategy,his companies gross revenues (literally) exploded by a whopping 250%!
Isn’t Funny How Real Opportunity Often Leads To Even More Previously Untapped Opportunity!
It’s right here, (where unfortunately) most otherwise extremely savvy entrepreneurs, would have their creative ninja marketing candle (simply) blow out, and go back to approaching their future marketing endeavors, as business as usual!Wrong!
Instead, follow this new way of thinking about strategically marketing, (and therefore) growing your business and or service, for literally pennies on the dollar.
Now that the Travel Agency was literally growing in (both) physical size and gross revenues. This meant they now had (way) more physical paying customers, they were mailing their monthly (and or) quarterly billing statements out to, correct?
Because remember, this entire process initially took place and began pre Internet!So guess “what” else this extremely savvy travel agency started doing to continue increasing their gross revenues, without necessarily having to increase their gross overhead costs?
They (looked around) and found several non competing businesses and or service providers and started including their mailers inside their own out going mail to their paying customers! 😎 Which was pretty much a no brainer slam dunk, right? Yep!
And as you might well imagine, within a relatively short period of time,a couple of really cool (and rather) predictable things also happened during their initial and subsequent rapid growth period.
The CEO of the travel agency, started routinely getting featured on several of the most prestigious industry magazines and newsletters!(Oh the glamour of it all! 😎 )
He also started (routinely) getting dozens of requests for (local) and in some cases national radio and TV interview requests!
And all of this sudden notoriety also led to him being periodically approached about being the main Keynote Speaker at several of the top regional and national industry events!Hello!
The Real Cost Of Opportunity Lost Can Be Down Right Expensive At Times Can It Not?
Which of course, ultimately morphed into him creating and licensing, (with expert help of course) some of his best, market tested techniques, strategies and or tactics etc; to other non competing businesses and or service owners outside his particular industry!
Which obviously led to him periodically writing, (and co-authoring) a few national (and in some cases) Inter national best sellers! And just think, the tip of this all came about, initially because, way back when his company was literally struggling just to survive!
This guy’s college bound daughter, approached he & his wife about co-signing for her first major credit card! 😎
And because he inquired where she got the offer from and discovered the savvy credit card company, had merely got the glamour magazine, his daughter had a paid subscription to, to include the credit card companies offer as a piggyback insert!
That initially sparked his creative marketing imagination!Wow! So “who” says, real opportunity can’t be found, right where you are? Any questions?
