(Because That Friend That Desperately Needs Help Is You!)
So let’s get this straight; you need to somehow find a way to consistently come up with (aka) create some (at least) semi fresh content for your voracious target audiences, insatiable appetite for helpful information, and because you initially stare at a blank computer, for 30-60 minutes or more, gripped with perpetual writers block, you’re kinda sort of depressed! Is that correct?
(So the questions begs asking, how to help a depressed friend successfully overcome temporary writers block!)
Entrepreneur don’t laugh, because you’d best believe that literally millions of otherwise extremely savvy small business owners and or service providers, are extremely depressed, because they can’t seem to consistently find (a lousy) 300-500 words to share with their chosen niche!
How To Help A Depressed Friend Successfully Deal Temporary Writers Block!
(Five Things You Can Do To Successfully Overcome Temporary Writers Block!)
Entrepreneur, you have successfully faced the enemy, and the enemy is you! So before you take a look at these five simple tips, that will most definitely help you eliminate current and future writers block. Understand that you need to recognize that part of your temporary anxiety and momentary depression, has more to do with “how” you both prepare and then execute your thought sharing process!
By the way, did you notice, that your idea sharing process, is strategically not referred to as your (dreaded) writing assignment! Nobody wants assignments and or deadlines, right?
So part of your overall strategy is to simply relabel your creative process and un cloud your mind! Seriously! Anyway, let’s now set the stage.
1.) Tip #one: First of all, (entrepreneur) if one of your closet friends, called you up and asked you to meet them for coffee, because they were feeling sort of depressed, and just needed to talk!
Would you do any the following? As you’re sitting there, while their pouring their heart out, would you be checking you FB page or skimming your email account? No way, right? You’d give them your undivided attention correct?
So “why” in the world, the moment you attempt to share your ideas (create fresh helpful content of any kind), are you trying to do so, while you’re skimming your FB page or your cell phone is on or (if you’re at home) your TV’s on etc!
2.) Tip # two: Since you’re (temporarily) depressed friend turned to you for empathy and hopefully some much needed sympathy and inspiration. The question begs asking, “who” or where are you turning to for some fresh “content” inspiration?
There’s always youtube. You can and should periodically go there and see what’s currently trending, (especially as it relates to your particular niche) and share your inspirations accordingly.
3.) Tip # three: Stop trying to find or create never before created or totally unique super fresh content! Instead, strive to be as help as possible to your target market and you’ll struggle to create never before heard of fresh content far less!
4.) Tip # four: Entrepreneur, if you’re (temporarily) depressed friend called and wanted to meet for a cup of coffee, because they desperately wanted to talk. Would you be overly concerned about “how” you look or “sound?”
Probably not, correct? Because the emphasis is on “how” you can help and support your friend/colleague and or relative etc. Which means entrepreneur, when it comes to shooting those short (yet) highly informative “how to” educational-on screen- videos, (meaning) where you in front of the camera. Your target audience really could care less, how you look or sound! Seriously!
As long as your main emphasis on helping solve their problems! Of course, everybody has a slight to overly exaggerated phobia, when they record their first few on screen videos!
Granted it’s a little natural to be overly conscious about “how” you look and sound! That being the case, put your focus on your content and it’s overall affect on your target audience and just like a hot meal being delivered to a starving homeless person!
Your knowledge and expertise will be greatly appreciated! Irregardless of “how” not so wonderful, you may think you look or sound!
If you’ll just focus 95% of your energy on “how to” help solve your customers and clients problems, you won’t be so self conscious! (And you’ll be way more successful!)
Just keep in mine, it does take some effort and time to get comfortable initially!
5.) Tip # five: Entrepreneur, you’ve gotta stop emotionally beating yourself up! You’ve got value and “what” you need to share is extremely valuable and your perspective is unique! Especially to your particular niche!
And just like you would emotionally comfort your friend, by re-emphasizing “how’ they have self worth! You too are worth listening to! Just make up your mind (once and for all!) to share your thoughts, knowledge and insights more often!
And that’s how to help a depressed friend successfully cope and overcome temporary “fresh content creation flow” (aka) temporary writers block! Any questions?
