(And The Rest Of Us Don’t!)
Have you noticed “how” really successful entrepreneurs seem to do the following five things really well. And the rest of us, for the most part, don’t? This post will (hopefully) expose you to this short list, of five critical things, which successful entrepreneurs seem to do really well. And “what” the rest of us can and should learn from them, as a direct result.
So What Are These Five Critical Things That Successful Entrepreneurs Do Really Well!
(That The Rest Of Us Don’t!)
1.) First and foremost, really successful entrepreneurs, never ever stop learning (aka) testing, tweaking and growing! They seek out new and improved information/practical knowledge like a compulsive gambler aggressively seeks out the odds for a sporting event.
2.) Successful entrepreneurs, never ever take “rejection” personally! (For one thing they’re far too busy winning!) But, they recognize, all endeavors (especially) in the beginning, will have the occasional set back and speed bumps! (But through continuous hard work and perseverance, they’ll eventually start making money!)
3.) Successful entrepreneurs (seem to) have the uncanny knack of (not only) learning from, adversity! But they also tend to thrive as a direct result of some type of adversity!
Where as the rest of us, tend to be deflated by it!
4.) Successful entrepreneurs (as often as possible), like to “institutionalize” their long term marketing opportunities! Meaning- they strategically implement marketing campaigns, that can and should be repeated over and over again!
For ex: let’s say you’re a small (under) capitalized start up business, and you sell specialty baking goods. And your chocolate chip cookies and specialty cupcakes, are simply to die for! Or at least, that’s what you’ve been told.
Rather than just go the traditional route of renting retail space and buying outrageously expensive -traditional advertising etc. Why not approach one of the many local Mom & Pop family owned restaurants, where you’ve been dining for a while and you personally know (either) the manager(s) and or owners etc.
And offer them some free samples of your tasty cupcakes and let them text message and or email their subscribers, (ideally) on both Valentines day & Mother’s day! And say the first X amount of people through the door, get his & her cupcakes!
And approach the hair salon owner, where you get your hair done, and let them give away X number of your tasty chocolate chip cookies or walnut swirl cookies etc; to every customer that takes advantage of a certain upsell offer the hair salon owner makes.
The main point is, you get maximum relatively inexpensive exposure, to potential long term repeat customers! Because Valentines & Mother’s day, happens every year, correct? Which is why you want to institutionalize your long term marketing opportunities.
5.) Successful entrepreneurs “maximize” opportunities! For ex; when they attend live industry events. They don’t just network while they’re there! They tend to (at the very least), do the following three things as well.
A.) Depending on “how” many days they’re actually at the convention, they’ll create a short video everyday, sharing the most important thing or ah ha moment they’ve had, for the day.
B.) They set up specific immediate plans of action, to start carrying out, once they get back home!
C.) And finally… they don’t leave the event, without formulating some type of concrete plan of attack! So that once they leave the event, they do so, with a specific step by step game plan outlined!
These five things are what successful entrepreneurs tend to do really well, that the rest of us don’t! Any questions?
