You know why? Because when you do, (provided) you’re savvy enough to make the compensation worth their while!

Your extremely valuable and knowledgeable customers and clients will quickly switch over to creative marketing overdrive! And they’ll flood you and your marketing team with literally tons of low cost creative marketing ideas, tips and suggestions that you would have never com up with on your own! Guaranteed!

Think about it for just a second! Who better to advise you and I, that the patrons that regularly use and or depend on our products and services! Bingo!

They’re not paid mouth pieces like a consultant such as myself would be! They’ve truly got a vested interest in seeing your products or services hit the mark! And it has absolutely nothing to do with money!

Just Make Sure You Reward Everyone Just For Participating!

(But Really Reward/Bribe Your Top Contributors!)

Now the real “key” to consistently opening the flood gates to their idea goldmine is to make a really big deal out everyone that participates, but to go overboard with goodies (ethical bribes) for the top five or ten suggestions! As voted on by either you and your staff and the general public etc.

Now don’t get all winged out if you’re thinking that you don’t currently have any type of extra free goody bonuses to give away just yet! My friend, that’s where you’re savvy joint venture partners (JV partners) come into play!

Because the truly smart ones should be more than willing to include some of their low cost, yet high perceived value free lead generating goodies, in exchange for being exposed to a brand new potential pool of customers and or clients and all that potential repeat business, the potential referrals and testimonials etc!

And that’s the way you sell your proposal to them! What would it typically cost them to consistently find this potential pool of first time prospects! The real/honest answer is a whole lot more!

But here’s the thing; picture a family gathering and several people have brought some of their best homemade deserts. That everybody always raves about!

If (god forbid) several people start caring on about one particular relatives this or that!

What happens! A war practically breaks out right? And the competition is on! Because you can bet, at the very next get together, all the stops will be pulled out!

And that’s exactly what you and I want, when it comes to our best customers and clients supplying their creative marketing suggestions, in order to be included in the top ten best  ways to improve our products or services, weekly and or monthly contest!

  1. Okay so you’ve really got the wheels spinning now Mark – love this strategy! The closest I’ve seen to this concept in my field up to now has blogger/personal development specialists offering a special bundle of products that included goodies from “experts” in related niches. I pretty much blew it off is boring, but reading your article I realized that’s because I LIVE that stuff everyday but the readers don’t.

    It’s like when my sister and her husband made their first trip to Maui and they got all excited about shopping in the (gasp!) tourist traps. I was so embarrassed I actually waited for them at a coffee shop so as to avoid being seen in there! But it was a really fun experience for them. A good reminder about the importance of putting ourselves in the minds of our readers. Thanks!
