For their birthday, Valentines Day and Mother’s Day (if that) applies as well.

3.) Customer retention strategy # three: They also targeted the first 100 adults that entered the store with kids (under 12), they receive a discount coupon good for 20% off their next three visits to Kmarts food court.

Plus, they automatically received huge discounts (and free) DVD kids movies.

Now with the ground work being laid. Let’s now focus on how to go even further with this (unannounced) free ethical bribe strategy.

How To Put Your Customer Retention Strategy on Steroids!

The next (viable group) that Kmart will target are the seniors market. The first 100 seniors that enter the store during specific hours.

Automatically receive a free $50 dollar gift coupon, plus a free lunch voucher (valued) at $10 dollars, and good for 90 days at a time!

And they can renew it every 90 days (if they wish to) for 90 more more days, for just $2 dollars!

Kmart will also start a kids birthday club (that’s) free to join! Every month two grand prize winners will be selected to win a free bike valued at $150 dollars or more!

(And of course, Kmart will deliver it (and video tape it) and give the kids 50 (special) lead capture page business cards, so they can pass them around and encourage their friends & classmates to enter the free drawing held every month!)

Each month, one lucky boy & girl 12 & under will have a chance to be selected as that month’s grand prize winner.

They’ll also receive a coupon good for $100 dollars worth kids DVD’s! And a gift coupon valued at $100 dollars!

Are You Definitely Starting To Appreciate The Importance Of Customer Retention Strategies Which Aren’t Overly Complicated!

They will also be able to host a free pizza party, with buffalo wings, ice cream and free soda, and invite 25 of their closest friends to come hang out with them!

And yes, Kmart will video tape all the fun and add the footage to their kids portion of their blog!

The monthly events will be held at some popular kids local location,  that Kmart will choose. And every kid that attends, will receive a free T shirt that says “I’m a Kmart kid! Why aren’t you!”

And of course they’ll also receive a free $20 dollar gift card, plus a free food court voucher that entitles them to 25% off the total cost of any meal they purchase at the food court.

As long they bring Mom, dad or (either) grand parent to the store with them. And it ‘s good for one whole year!

Then it’s simply renewable for just $7 dollars!

Plus, all that months runner ups (translated) every other kid that entered that month’s free drawing. They’ll automatically receive a voucher that entitles Mom & dad to 25% off their total purchase, good for one year from the date it’s issued!

And they can renew it for just $7 dollars!

Ethical Bribes Really Work!

Hopefully, you can totally appreciate how all this guerrilla style marketing will result in a serious customer retention strategy!

And for a fraction of the traditional cost! For ex: think about what will happen six month’s after your major competitor bought that expensive radio ad package.
