Great points Mark and no question the right lead magnet will make a huge difference. As a consumer what always bugs me about lead pages is the tendency toward vagueness. If I get half way through the page and am still not sure what it is they’re trying to sell me on then I’m gone. And I don’t know what the professional advice is on this issue, but I really hate it when you have to click the BUY IT button just to find out what the price is – and a lot of people do this. If someone feels the need to make me jump through hoops just to find out what it’s going to take to buy then it’s likely overpriced for what it is, or they just don’t have enough confidence in their own product to be transparent.
