(It’s About The Right Mindset!)
Sure (entrepreneur!) it’s definitely a whole lot easier to blame the take your pick. The government, the interest rates. Or the local banks or local credit unions etc.
For your overall lack of business success. Or your best providers or employees or your top JV (Joint Venture) partners for the recent or steady down turn in your business. But let’s all face it already.
The bottom line is truly this. The person or people in charge of initially starting or running the business or service. They’re the ones who are ultimately responsible for the overall success or failure of the venture.
Afterall, who gets to enjoy the vast majority of any and all profits produced. As a direct or indirect result of your efforts. This being the case. It stands to reason, you have to take full responsibility when things don’t go as planned.
So it also stands to reason. Any and all so called hidden money which gets discovered or overlooked. Ultimately lays at the feet of the owners. Don’t you agree?
Once Or As Soon Your Mindshift Starts To Consistently Take Place! (Previously Untapped Opportunities Will Start To Routinely Appear More And More Often!)
As mentioned in a previous post. Recently while strolling through my local Walmart. And because tax filing season is upon us. Tax preparation service provider Jackson Hewitt is temporarily leasing some booths inside this particular store.
And leveraging Walmart’s already established daily foot traffic. (Which can and probably will continue to grow.) And believe it or not. There is literally a ton of potentially hidden money just waiting to be discovered by both businesses.
For starters, since JH sends all of their current customers in the immediate area various text messages. And since Walmart has an extremely active website. These extremely time sensitive text messages from JH or whomever is texting their extremely loyal subscribers.
Could easily mean a whole lot more business and long term repeat business for both Walmart and at least some of their top JV partners. For literally pennies on the dollar. And Walmart could also give either JH or their rival H&R Block exclusive access to their extremely loyal customer base. For a higher booth rental fee of course.
Or for negotiating a better JV or cross promotional arrangement of some kind.
Ladies And Gentlemen Profitable JV Arrangements Have Nothing To Do With The Overall Size Of Your Business Or Service!
In fact (seriously!) consider the following extremely time sensitive promotion. “What” if Walmart or whoever the profit seeking retailer is. At least inexpensively A/B split test the following offer. Walmart creates a free, (albeit extremely time sensitive) opt-in email free drawing. Where their customers can win a $7, 000 or X-dollar shopping spree.
One guaranteed 1st grand prize winner every month or for the next X number of months. And every subscriber is also encouraged to enter an extremely time sensitive raffle offered by JH or H&R Block.
Simply by paying to get their taxes done by one or the other firm. (Meaning whichever firm is currently renting a booth from Walmart or major retailer X. They get entered into a one-time payment raffle. And two 1st grand prize winners. One male and one female.
They automatically get their taxes done free of charge. Up to $1,000 or X number of dollars per year. For the next ten or x number of years. Entrepreneur (surely!) even you can appreciate the incredible, positive word of mouth and mouse buzz.
A creative promotion like that would surely generate. Plus some serious and long term potential list building opportunities in the process, agreed? This is the type of so-called hidden money your small business or service might be constantly overlooking. Are you finally ready to stop leaving money on the table? I sincerely hope so.
